Even before I had reached the hidden access point to Dragon's basement, I heard the screaming and yelling--both animal and human. Swearing, I attempted several times to put in the entry code to get into the basement but kept ******** it up.
"DAMNIT NERISSA OPEN THE DOOR!" I yelled, pounding on door. With a hissing woosh, the door opened. Rushing down the stairs, I slid to a halt with a look of horror on my face. "Oh damn."
The little green bumps on Moochi had pulled free--ripping the poor mutt to pieces--and were now terrorizing the rest. Shalimar, Wynn, and Nogard had been moved to a corner of the basement with Adam still working on them and Dragon's remaining guardians protecting them. Standing in front of them was Trance with her force lance out and attempting to shoot the creatures. And Rommie looked like she was about to disengage to assist Trance.
"Rommie, continue what you're doing!" I shouted. "Trance, stop shooting! You're only pissing them off!"
"But they killed--"
"I see that," I replied, sticking the rubber spatula into my back pocket again. "But trust me on what I'm going to do."
Before Trance or Adam could ask, I walked into the center of the floor and allowed the green creatures to land on me.
Inside Holly's Mind
"Who are you?" the four gwees asked as one.
"A friend," I replied, making sure not to look at them at any one time. "The house the four of you are in is also the house of a friend. A
dragon friend.
"There are nothing but halfbreeds, guardians, two humans, two androids, and some strange gold creature in here," the gwees replied. "Where is this dragon friend that you speak of?"
"The three halfbreeds you speak of are all part dragons," I replied. "The one in white is a Red dragon who's DNA was mixed with a Demon Rabbit. The one in green is a green dragon crossed with a Neko demon. The one with red hair is...well...she's
a dragon crossed with a Neko Demon's DNA."
"What kind of dragon is she?" the gwees asked.
"Well, the dragon who carried her is the Blue Dragon Princess and then she carries the spirits of the other Nine Dragon Clan Princesses."
"The halfbreed child is the one of the prophecy?!"
"Um, sure."
Looking at each other, the Gwees nodded.
Opening my eyes, I realized that the gwees had dug their tiny little claws into my body while conversing with me. As they released me, blood began to trickle down my arms and legs.
"Are they...?" Trance asked, looking at the gwees behind me.
"They're safe now," I replied. Still having the feeling of opopanax danger, I turned to the gwees and said, "Heal the three that are injured then fix the broken android."
Nodding, the four gwees huddled over Wynn, Shalimar, and Nogard and bathed the three in a golden light. After a few seconds they surrounded Nissa's android body and did the same.
As Nogard opened her mouth to say something, I grabbed her wrist and Nissa's wrist and yanked them upstairs and outside. Finding Xangord, I said, "I need you to open a portal to wherever Dragon's at."
"Why?" Xangord asked.
"Because she's in danger and if you don't I'll kill you," I replied.
"Who the hell is that and why does she look like me?" Nogard asked.
Ignoring Nogard Xangord created a portal. "There."
"You're coming with us," I replied.
"Very well," Xangord said, stepping through the portal.
"Holly what are you doing?" Nissa asked.
"Trust me," I replied, pulling her and Nogard through the portal after me.
