In the hold, Xink started towards Xangord, but Shalimar grabbed his arm and held him back. "No."
"What do you mean 'no'!?" Xink asked. "Something's wrong with mom! Heck, even with your mom and Aunt Nogard!"
"There's something wrong with them," Wynn said. "Touching them at this time would be a seriously BAD idea."
"I sense nothing," I said, forming my hologram form next to Shalimar and Wynn.
"Because you're simply a computer," Wynn said. "Whatever is happening to the three of them is not something that even they could sense."
At that moment, the three were sitting up and holding their heads. Groaning, Dragon said, "Oh that should NOT have hurt that much...Nerissa, where in the hell did she get the dirt from?!"
"She may have pulled it in from what you tracked in from your boots," I replied. "Also, some of the items in here require dirt as a cushion for transporting."
"Dragon, did one of your kids attack me?" Nogard asked, feeling the back of her head.
"Neither of us touched you," Wynn replied. "You flew across the room of your own accord; and Xangord collapsed of her own accord at the same time you and Dragon slammed into the walls."
"Shalimar, why did you prevent me from removing the water from the mudball?" Dragon asked.
Down by the brig, my android body was thrown backwards by another psionic blast thrown by Lord Avondale. Picking myself up, I said, "Do you know who Holly is?"
"Yes," Lord Avondale replied. "It was she who alerted me to what's going on with Dragon, Nogard, and Xangord."
"What
is going on with them?" I asked.
"If I can't get back to the bay to help Holly," Lord Avondale said, "then everyone on you--as will half of this galaxy--will die."
"Then by all means, lets go to the hold!" I said.
"I didn't," Shalimar said. "I thought you were going to."
Staggering to their feet; Dragon, Nogard, and Xangord stumbled back towards the kids.
"Stay back!" Wynn said, pushing Xink behind her at the same time Shalimar stood in front of Rose and her group. "I am warning you!"
At that moment; Holly, Lord Avondale, and my android body burst in. Grabbing Lord Avondale's hand, Holly yelled at Shalimar and Wynn, "Girls! Get together! Shalimar, create a shifting shield using all your powers! Xink, you may have to create a portal to get everyone to saftey,
he's not going to be there at this if you have to."
"Who're you?" Xink asked as Wynn pulled him towards Shalimar.
"Trust me," Wynn said, "if
she's here, then something major's going to happen."
Leaving my android body back with the others, I used my ships sensors to keep tabs on Holly and Lord Avondale. Lord Avondale created some kind of golden shield to overlay Shalimar's and to cover all the exits in the room no matter how small.
"Holly?" Dragon asked. "What're--"
"I'm fixing a mistake before it gets to be a problem," Holly said. Suddenly, my sensors were blinded as a white silent light emenated from her.
