When Se'rox slung the mostly solid mudball at Dragon, I could tell she was attempting to at least remove the liquid from it yet it was not working. When it slammed into Dragon's face, Dragon was thrown backwards across the hold--at the same time, Nogard was flung forwards across the hold. At the same both of them hit opposet walls and slid down, Xangord collapsed.
"Tell me," Lord Avondale said to my android body. "How is Dragon and her sisters doing right now?"
"Xangord's friend attacked Dragon," I replied.
"And Dragon didn't stop the attack?" Lord Avondale asked.
"No, but I think Shalimar may have had something to do with it," I replied. "My sensors picked up a powersurge from her at the same time Dragon was attempting to deflect the attack."
"Perhaps...," Lord Avondale said. "What about what happened when Dragon was hit? Were Nogard and Xangord affected?"
"Yes," I replied. "How did you know?"
"Nerissa, you must allow me back to the hold," Lord Avondale said, stopping.
"Sorry," I replied, pulling on Lord Avondale's arm. "Dragon gave me a direct order and that's to see you to the brig."
"Forgive me, Nerissa," Lord Avondale said, throwing my hand off his arm and hitting my android body with a psionic blast.
Flying backward, my android body slammed into the hull. Climbing to my feet, I straightened up and said, "That's new. Did you learn that when you became an
Elder Wyrm?"
"You could say that," Lord Avondale said. "Please, Nerissa, I do not wish to harm the exquisite work that little Ikkit had put into you."
Taking a defensive posture, I said, "It's going to take a lot more than an Elder Wyrm to harm me."
In the observation deck, a wormhole opened in the ceiling and someone fell through. Making my hologram form appearn next to the person as she stood, I said, "You are a tresspasser on the
Nerissa--"
"
Altsoba, yeah yeah," the young woman said, popping her neck. Turning, she added, "And I know there are hidden guns--and where they happen to be--hidden in the observation deck. Nis, I don't have time for this. Allow Lord Avondale to meet me in the Hangar where Dragon and the others are."
"Holly?" I asked, surprised to see her. Last I saw her, she and LeRoy were going back to their world.
"Yep," Holly replied, turning to go. Pausing, she turned back and looked my hologram over. "And remind me later to give you a diffrent look for your hologram, screen displays, and avatar. That look is getting old."
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Just allow Lord Avondale to meet me," Holly said, turning and running out of the observation deck. "I'm going to need his help!"
