"By Draco's shiney tail," a familiar, and hated, voice said. "Dragon
you don't look so good."

Opening my eyes, I slowly looked up. Directly in front of me was
Nogard--leaning on one leg with her arms crossed over her chest. "Oh man..."

Feeling my left arm move, I turned my head and saw that Larkin was
attempting to remove my shackles. Looking at my other arm and then down at
the floor, I swore. While I was passed out, Orsnic had decided to
dangle me from the cell wall by my wrists.

Draping my arm across her shoulders, Larkin asked, "Bet you never
expected to see the two of us together to save you, huh?"

"No kidding," I replied, wincing as blood rushed into my arms. "Much
less my 'dear' sister."

"I am just protecting my own interests," Nogard said. Looking at my
extended belly, Nogard lifted an eyebrow and asked, "Sooo...that's my
grandniece or nephew?"

"You're not laying a--ooo," I groaned, my knees turning into jelly.

"What's wrong?" Larkin asked, lowering me to the floor.

"She shouldn't even be carrying the egg in that form," Nogard
explained. "The human body can't survive carrying an egg for a day--much less
two. Even in dragon form she should have only been carrying the egg for a
day."

"How...did you know...it's been two...days?" I grunted, gripping my
stomach.

"I'm your negative twin," Nogard said. "I feel a lot of the same things
you do."

"Whatehh-ARRR-(sob)!" I yelled.

"What are you doing?" Larkin asked as Nogard produced a red-handled
butterfly knife.

"Cutting out the egg," Nogard replied calmly.

"No you are not!" Larkin said, grabbing Nogard's wrist.

"She'll die otherwise."

"No, d--"

"JUST DO IT!" I yelled as another wave of pain hit me. Grabbing Larkin by the front of her shirt I pulled her close and growled, "But do not let Nogard lay one filthy finger on the egg or so help me I will dismember you!!"

Without another word, Nogard darted forward and shoved the knife into my stomach. With a flick of her wrist, she pulled the egg out. Removing her scarf, Larkin caught the egg in it and quickly wrapped it up.
