Even Kids Need an Adventure, 1 [1]
It had only been a few hours since they had woken up to find that most of the adults of the Dynasty had left--three of which were kidnapped and eleven had gone on rescue missions to retrieve them. Of the ones left behind--Rhonabwy, Alachia, Lord Avondale, and Lizbeth--two were playing guardian to the queen's vassal [2], the other two focused their concerns on Xink and the human twins, Nate and Ette.
"It's not like my mother hasn't gone anywhere," Larkin said sarcastically to herself. "But, it is to The Skull Kingdom so it'd be the least dangerous of the three missions." Feeling a tug on her coat, Larkin looked down and saw Varda, with Varden a bit away from her. "What?"
"We're bored," Varda said. "And hungry. Mom said we can't eat any of the kitsunes here."
"Not without causing some problems," Larkin agreed. "What do you want me to do about it?"
"Obviously we want you to take us hunting," Varden said. "Since the other adults don't need to feed, we thought we'd ask you."
Larkin was hungry--and eating regularly was a bit of an experience without a lower jaw. "Fine, but we're going to bring the other set of twins and Xink. Xink needs to feed and the other twins can help me keep an eye on you two."
----
Once the other three were rounded up outside Green Shade; Larkin, Xink, and Varda transformed into their dragon forms. Putting the human twins on her back and Varda carrying Varden in his naga form, Larkin led the others far away from Green Shade to avoid it from being affected by the feeding of three dragons and a naga. On a mountain side, they found plenty of goats to take care of their hunger.
"You two are going to have to help me feed," Larkin said to Nate and Ette, circling overhead while the younger ones darted over the face of the mountain getting their fill.
"What do you want us to do?" Nate asked nervously.
"Just stun them is all," Larkin replied. "I can't chew and I really don't like swallowing something that can kick my throat and stomach apart with sharp hooves."
Pulling their wands out, Nate and Ette nodded to show they were ready. Tilting her wings, Larkin dove towards the mountain face. From the corner of her one good eye, Larkin saw nets suddenly fly out of the face of the mountain and snag the others. Swearing, Larkin flared her wings to stop her descent--accidentally spilling Nate and Ette off her back--but it was too late to avoid the net already flying at her.

Back Home
As Shalimar's group passed through their portal back to Green Shade, Flan's group reappeared as well. Suddenly, Dragon's block of ice and Xangord's smoke ball began to shudder.
"GAH!" Wolf exclaimed as his shoulder was broken under the vibrating block of ice.
< Get them closer together! > Flan ordered, moving towards Shalimar's group.
Once the block of ice and the smoke ball were within a foot of each other, they shot into the air. Spinning around each other, they rose sixty feet into the air before the setting sun flashed onto the ice--blinding all those below watching the spectacle.
A second later, Dragon and Xangord were standing side by side on the ground. Glaring at Shalimar and Wynn, Dragon said, "After Nogard gets back and I get my full form back, I am going to kill you two. ... And stop laughing!"
Crossing her arms, Xangord looked at Se'Rox. "Thank you. I'm sorry for revealing your presence to those buffoons. Let me know if you need help."

A Last Minute Addition
"She's a touchy pixie, isn't she?" Annamarie said as Rose, Taran, and n** were transported back to the ship.
"You and I didn't help things much," Broden said. Ignoring the Other Nogard's corpse, Broden walked over to a control panel and entered a self destruct command in overlaid by several security controls that would prevent the sdc from being disabled. "I had my reasons--you just being one of them."
"Yeh knew I was on this ship?" Annamarie asked. "How?"
"You forget how many connections I have," Broden replied, returning to Annamarie and picking her up. "I've found out a lot of things recently--you, your past, and...how it intersects with my family."
This last was said on the transport pad on Rose's ship--where Rose was waiting. Smiling, Broden said, "I'm sure you wish to tear me apart, but a few requests before you do? It'd be good to move the ship away from the prison ship--it's going to be exploding in about thirty seconds. Also, I'd like to take Annamarie to the sick bay where she can get the rest she needs."
