"Let's try another," the head fairy said, raising her wand arm and flicking her wrist at point over my shoulder.
With a wave of my hand, I doused the fairy that had been set ablaze in a cooling bath of water. Although I was quite curious to see what the spell had rebounded off from behind me, I kept eye contact with the fairy. "I have no wish to do harm to you or your comrades. I only hope that those you attacked without fair warning or without hearing the story as to my obvious suspicious behavior have been injured. I am sure your queen would be the same."
"Dragon," Nissa said, kneeling so that she could whisper into my ear what was going on where Xangord and Xink were.
"Report to Xangord at once to resolve the situation," I replied.
"I am not leaving you alone," Nissa said.
"You're the ship. You're everywhere."
"But I know what you're planning."
Glancing over my shoulder to see who all had been attacked by the head fairy, I looked back at Nissa and said, "There's still Rose and ANTIE-D."
"But--"
"It's an order," I said. Turning to the fairies, I said, "My android will be leaving for the moment to deal with another matter on the ship. May she take the injured, including your comrade that you've inadvertantly set on fire, to my Med Deck--you are welcome to dispatch a guard with them if you wish."
"Dragon--" Nissa began to say.
"I only ask," I said, speaking over Nissa, "that your people behave themselves on my ship as befits your race." Holding my hands out, I said, "If it makes you feel better, you are welcome to clap me in irons or whatever you happen to have handy. I won't resist."
