"You're a joy kill," Nogard replied sulkily.
"I am only stating the worse case scenario," I replied, absently placing a hand on my stomach. "Nerissa, where is Dragon?"
"She's managed to turn invisible," Nerissa Altsoba said, from the overhead speakers. "However I can track her by her weight. She is directly in front of the two of you.
When Nogard created fire balls in her hands, I said, "No. No fire yet."
"She can spit acid and turn invisible," Nogard said as I created a whips of smoke in my hands. "We need fire because smoke isn't going to do a whole lot."
"Not in the amounts you're planning to use."
Lashing out with the whips, I saw and felt them wrap around something large--Dragon's torso most likely. All hell then broke loose. Whatever I caught screeched and took off the down the corridor dragging me behind it.
"SLEIGH RIDE!" Nogard yelled.
Looking over my shoulder, I saw Nogard was leaping in the air and obviously planned to land on me. Rolling to the left, I avoided being smashed beneath Nogard. Putting both whips in one hand, I reached out and snagged one of the ladders that led to another deck with the other hand.
Grunting in pain, I felt both shoulders dislocate when the whips reached their limit and pulled short. Lying on my back, I rolled my head to the left and saw an unconsious Dragon lying on her back--but something was wrong with her.
"Oh crap," Nogard said, examining Dragon. "She's got Wuhyam." [+1]
"If she's got it," I said, standing, "we're probably going to contract it if she wakes up. Nerissa, we need tranquilizers fast. BIG tranquilizers."
