*pooft* fuzzy? *pooft* smokey? *pooft* kaboom?
"They're friends," I said to Shalimar, rushing over to pick her up in a hug. To Wynn, I said, with a glance to Adam, "Because someone's hacked into her system that we need to force out."
As Adam opened his mouth to reply, a strange sensation washed over me. Grabbing my head, I saw out of the corner of my eye Nogard do the same. Dimly, I heard several people calling my name. The ground beneath my feet suddenly lurched to the left and I stumbled in that direction. Slamming against Nogard, I felt the two of us melt together.
Everything faded into darkness but I/she/they could feel myself/herself/themselves shrink to about a foot tall and became fuzzy. Before my/her/their vision could clear, another transformation rippled through me/her/them--this time I/she/they shed my/her/their fur and grew to my/her/their normal height but with smoke billowing about my/her/their feet. Again, before I/she/they could process this second transformation, I/she/they exploded.
