After tracking the hunters for several feet, I paused because I swore I had heard something. After a few minutes, I silently grinned. Both Shalimar and Rose were following me. And from the sounds of it, it sounded like Dragon's guardians were doing the same.
Dragon has really got to teach them the meaning of upwind auras versus downwind auras--Tikki and Ikkit have almost got their covers down though, I thought. As a branch snapped with a gunshot crack, I added, Not to mention to teach Rose the true meaning of stealth tracking.
Deciding that they could come along, I allowed the group following me to continue to do so and pretended I hadn't sensed them. After about an hour of tracking, I came to the compound where Dragon had been staying.
"I know you guys are there," I said to Rose, Shalimar, and the others without turning. "And I know you're worried about Dragon, but please stay behind the fence. You guys don't know what these guys are capable of and I don't want to see any of you hurt."
Without another word, I leapt over a chain link electrified fence. Landing in a crouch, I surged forward and dove behind a building. Peering around the corner, I scented the air and flicked my ears. Catching Dragon's scent, I hurriedly ran between buildings until I reached the one Dragon was in. Peeking in a window, I tilted my ears towards the glass to better hear the conversation from within.
"We'll split her between us," Cathal said. "Then I'll take this one's hide back to my clan."
"And I'll take Chazu Espilon Zircal Kinja Aensland Rea [+1] back to my clan," Wolfgang replied. "His head will be a welcome addition to our collection."
Eyes flashing, I snarled and took a step backward. Reaching deep within my personal magic well, I drew upon an ancient wordless spell. Ripping it to the surface, I shoved the power that came with it at the building. At first, nothing happened. But a split second later, the building was instantly blown apart as the cyclonic forces within built up enough pressure to destroy the building yet create a bubble around Dragon to avoid her coming to harm.
Sinking to my knees, I realized that I had used up nearly all my strength with that spell. Seeing shapes at the edges of my vision, I lashed out with my claws and found them buried to the wrists in the chests of Wolfgang and Cathal.
Again...to be continued tomorrow

And don't jump to conclusions just yet about Wolfgang & Cathal.
