Note
This is a flashback entry to a few years after the destruction of my homeworld. I would be about 50 years old in dragon years--I'm not telling you how old I am now in dragon years
scream ninja it's been a while
"Soooo where are we now?" I asked, gazing at one of one of the display screens of
Nerissa Altsoba"We are in the Cithara galaxy," Nissa replied, her hologram appearing next to me. "The nearest planet to support draconic life is--"
"Just ahead of us," Lilah
[+1] said, ruffling my hair. "How you doing?"
Tilting my head until Lilah's hand wasn't messing up my hair, I said, "I'm so ready for terra firma. Nissa, don't get me wrong; but having real dirt under my feet, real air--not recycled stuff--under my wings, and a blue sky above me is better than any thing you can provide."
"No offense taken," Nissa replied from the display screen as her hologram blipped out of existance.
"Battlestations!" Lord Avondale said, entering the bridge in a swirl of his cloak.
"What's wrong?" I asked, as Lilah and I took up our battle stations and Nerissa Altsoba's klaxon alarms sounded.
"That's a hostile planet!" Lord Avondale said, sitting at the controls. "I just recieved intelligence that a swarm of Dylos just took over the planet."
"I didn't recieve any--oh,
OH," Nissa said, her eyes widening. "It's definately time to leave."
"What are Dylos?" Lilah asked.
"They're the dragon version of a human's boogyman," I replied. "Only about sixty times more dangerous."
"Oh," Lilah said, looking at the display in front of her.
"There's an intruder on the bridge," Nissa said.
"What?" I asked, looking up, "wh--"
A strong arm slithered around my waist and hoisted me off the ground. Before I could fully react, a pair of talons pinched my windpipe nearly shut between them. From directly behind my right ear, a low voice growled, "Move and she dies. Child, if you begin to transform, I will rip your throat out."
Having shot to his feet when Nissa advised about the intruder, Lord Avondale growled, "What do you want?"
"The hatchling," the person holding me replied. I could hear the devilish grin he had plastered on his face. "And what she has within."
Although Lilah did not know what this meant, I could tell that Lord Avondale knew...and something deep down within knew what my captive was hinting at. Before I could figure it out, my captive buried his teeth into the soft place behind my right ear where it met my head. Screaming, I felt as though I was being turned inside out and turned into dragon hatchling pate.
In a deep dark secret place within myself, I felt an ancient door crack and a power full of hate and loathing seep out. Before the power could be fully released, Lilah cast some sort of spell that obliterated the man holding me. Falling to the ground, I felt myself seperate. Slamming to the ground, I felt myself slam into the ground again a split second later.
"Don't let Nogard escape!" Lord Avondale yelled, rushing forward.
Although I was too dazed to really see what was happening, I felt Lord Avondale slam his hand into my chest and shove myself back within my self. After a few seconds, I reached up and felt my neck where the man had bitten me and felt a strange scar forming.
