If you don't want a lot of reading to do, lemme sum up the following rant:
DO NOT SEND ME CHAIN LETTERS NOR ANYTHING CLAIMING TO NOT BE A CHAIN LETTER FOR IN THE FUTURE I WILL REPORT YOU! I know I'm late on the bandwagon to do something like this but it should go without saying.
I have recieved several pm's today where the title says "Petition signing(not a chainletter)" Since it came from people I knew, I unwittingly clicked on the message to see what it was about thinking it'd be a link to a cool petition.
I was wrong. It was a chain letter...and worse, it was building a pyramid scheme (mass amount of quotes stacked on top of one another). I should have been suspicious about the title since anything that says "not a chain letter" could possibly BE a chain letter. But when I saw the message and it read "AND SEND THIS MESSAGE TO ALL YOUR FREINDS" I knew what I had done--I had fallen for a chain letter.
VI. CODE OF CONDUCT
While using the GAIA Online Experience, the User may not:6. Upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation.
Chain letters and junkmail fall in to the same category obviously because no one wants them and
(insert diety here) forbid I ever see another pyramid quote with more than 5 quotes at a time.
And no, I don't care that if I don't send the letter on to at least five people, some kid in Africa I don't know is going to die of starvation--because a kid is going to starve anyway. If my grandma dies tomorrow because I didn't send a chain letter on within the next five seconds after reading it, it's not my fault--IT'S BECAUSE SHE IS 90 YEARS OLD!!
Note, the following is for comedy, dont take me seriously for those of you who don't know me that well
So go on, send me your chain letters. After reporting you, I will rip your brain out through your nose with a red hot poker while you squirm and as you die force you to watch as I steam broil both your brain and yourself!
As for you who have sent me that chain letter that claimed it wasn't a chain letter, don't worry. I won't report you because you didn't know I LOATHED chain letters.
