Side Note
Clashing mid air, Nogard and I first used our claws, teeth and horns to try and subdue the other. We both knew that if we accidentally killed the other--which was possible if we used our magic attacks--we ourselves would die. The force of our blows shook the ground and the air but neither of us stopped. Finally breaking apart, Nogard and I regarded each other while trying to catch our breath.
Recognizing the mischivous glint in Nogard's eyes, I flipped to the side and to the back as she breathed a series of level 9276 fire balls at me--I belived she called the attack Flaming Armegeddon. Deciding that two could play the magic game, I released my own breath in a level 9276 single blast of solid ice--named Ice Pillar. As fast and furious as our physical battle was, it could barely hold a candle against our magical battle.
Breaking apart a second time, Nogard and I set down about fifty yards away from each other; both of us breathing much heavier than before. Judging by the way Nogard was standing, I could tell that she was as much on the verge of collapsing from exaustion and wounds as I was.
Just as I prepared for one last all out assult, I saw Chazu dart out from the trees to my left and barreled towards Nogard. Before he could get too close to her, Nogard lifted into the air with a malicious wink that I read that our battle was far from over.
So be it, Nogard. When you and I fight again, it will be for the last time.
Suddenly, the last ounce of my strength left and I collapsed, completely exausted. Coming over to me, Chazu said, "Dragon, you wait here and recover. I'll get Nogard back in your body if it kills her."
If you only knew how odd it is for you to say that Chazu, I thought as I felt Nogard's depleted engergy return to me. Leaving the carcass of a phoenix for me to eat, Chazu left in search of Nogard.
As soon as Chazu left, rather familier creatures appeared out of the darkness of the forest. Snarling, I cursed myself for allowing Nogard to weaken me for the Dylos. Reaching out with my mind, I realized the barriers to my telepathy had crumbled away in the fight against Nogard; but my ability to transform was still locked within a cracked cell.
Throwing chains over me, the Dylos dragged me into the shadows of their world.
