Inserting a long nail into Dragon's temple, Lord Avondale closed his eyes. While in Dragon's dreams, he would see everything from her point of view and hear her thoughts.
Dragon's Dreams
I'm six years old (+1) and I'm on my home world playing with the white, black, and red dragon princesses. I'm not sure why the adults all act really strange around each other--almost like they hated each other--but Wikida (+2), Bebeish (+3), and Reynika (+4) are all really awesome.
"Come on Mirrd (+5)!" Wikida said, nudging me with her snout. "You're in your own element, stop being a human (+6)!"
"I am NOT a human!" I replied. Twisting a claw into the sandbank, I replied, "I just...I'm just not allowed to go near this river."
"What? Why?" the other princesses asked.
"This is the Humboldt River," I replied. "It's said that any dragon who goes into the river will cause the destruction of the original homeworld of the blue dragons..."
"We have something like that on my planet too," Bebeish said.
"There's something like that on ALL the planets," Reynika replied.
"Not mine," Wikida lied, slamming her tail into my back and sent me flying into the Humboldt River.
At the last second, I extended my wings and tried to avoid touching the river, but I felt one of my rear claws dip below the surface. Suddenly, the sun went dark. Looking up, I could barely distinguish one of the dark moons of Audubon (+7) hurtling towards us. Turning to the other princesses who were huddled together out of fear, I roared at them, "FLY YOU FOOLS!"
It was not until I fired a couple of ice blasts at them did the three other princesses flew as fast and hard as they could for my mother's castle where their parents resided. I was right behind them but as I passed the tree where my father had been buried after the demon Nogard had killed him ( +8 ), something snagged my tail and yanked me back.
Slamming into a rock, I slid down it half concious. Looking up, into the face of Wikida as she transformed from a young dragon princess to an old scarred wizard. Laughing manaically, he said, "Now your kind will never achieve full greatness!"
"Wh...what did you...do to Wikida?" I asked, trying to catch my breath after being slammed roughly into a rock.
"She was never here," the wizard replied jovally. Drawing a jeweled dagger, the wizard raised it above his head with both hands. "I am here to draw your Nobody to the surface and forever seal you away!"
Suddenly, a blast of redhot fire slammed into the wizard from the right. Looking for the source of the fire, I said, "Lord Avondale!"
Growling at the unmoving body of the wizard, Lord Avondale placed me on his expansive back and took off into space with the rest of my clan. Looking back, I cried out in sorrow as the dark moon slammed into my home planet and obliterated it. While Lord Avondale was researching her dreams, Dragon awoke. During the time she had been passed out and encased in the bone dragon armor, her body had become a shadow. In a flare of ice licked by small amounts of fire, Dragon's body returned to normal. Lashing her arm out, Dragon grabbed the neck of Lord Avondale. Snarling, she flicked her wrist and tore out his windpipe.
"Hoshit!!" Wynn exclaimed, backing away. Flicking her ears and tail, she asked, "What did you do?!"
"I killed the imposter," I growled, rolling into a sitting position and pushing the fake Lord Avondale's body off of one of my chairs. "That was the same b*****d who made me destroy my home world and was going to seal me away and bring Nogard about."
"If he's a fake, then where's the real Lord Avondale?" Shalimar asked, looking unflinchingly at the body--it was her first dead body.
"I...I don't know," I replied. Looking at my guardians, I said, "Get that trash out of my house, it's stinking the place up."
