Groaning, I opened my eyes and could see nothing but darkness. Squinting, I tried to see where I was when harsh florecent lights blazed on.
"Truh..." I groaned, reaching up to cover my eyes. I happened to be looking right into a florecent light when they buzzed into life. "Oh...kustey that hurt." Whatever I was in, suddenly shifted positions. "WHOA!"
As I started to fall down, my knees slammed into electrified bars.
BZZT!!!
Yelling over the Anti-Bite Mask, I stood up. My elbow banged against one of the bars and electricty surged through me again. Screaming, I pulled away. Panting I tried to remember what had happened and how I got...where ever I was.
The last thing I remember is that I sent Lord Avondale ahead to look after Shalimar while I stood at the top of a hill that overlooked Durem. As I started to follow after Lord Avondale, someone grabbed me from behind. I am not exactly sure what happened after that--even though I think a dragon taser was used.
Whatever happened, I had powered up while I was unconsious since I had my normal clothes back--minus my buckle hat and jacket, they had to have been removed by whoever kidnapped me. Reaching up, I felt my ears.
Still humanoid, I muttered. My true power is in my doll ears.
"I think we ought to turn the power up a little," someone said to my left. "It doesn't appear 1.21 gigawatts is enough."
"Yes m'lord," was the response.
Turning, I saw two men who had their faces covered. The voice of one of them was vaguely familier, but I could not place it. Hearing the bars hum around me, I cringed backward. The cage had three sides with bars and a solid back and was just big enough to let me slide halfway down before my knees bumped against the bars.
What the hell do they want? I wondered.
