Picking a Destination"Who says she's at a castle?" Dai asked. "She could've been dragged anywhere, really."
< Mole is the expert of Xangord's side group, > Flan said.
< Best not insult her. >"Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?" Dai asked with a grin.
Ignoring Dai's comment, Flan asked,
< I believe we should start at whichever place that Xangord would most likely avoid. Would there be anyplace like that? >"Being a stick in the mud, I hope it'd be somewhere fun," Dai muttered.

Giving DirectionsCutting straight to the point before Rose could start asking about Taran's ship, n** said, "Lots of things--mostly involving Dragon and her sisters. However, if my theory is correct, we will require your ship instead of the
Nerissa Altsoba to go after her as the
NA will be recognized."
"You didn't mention you knew who it was!" Broden said.
"You didn't ask and it's only a theory," n** said. "And if my theory proves to be correct, you won't be of much help when it comes to...drastic measures."

Leaving the Skull KingdomAfter dragging Skull's remains back inside, Shalimar approached the throne. "I believe I'll go ahead and take my rightful place as queen of the Skull Kingdom."
"Noooooo!" Skull wailed. "You can't! You have to wait until I die!!!!"
"You see, there's a problem," Shalimar said, turning to face Skull. "You'll never die."
"Exactly!" Skull said. "That's why you can't be queen until I die!!!"
"Um, Shals," Wynn said--she and Creighton had followed Shalimar in. "Remember what you told me on Riverworld?"
"Remind me."
"That if you were ever to go skull-crazy--like now--that I should remind you what we found at the top of the tower at the head of the River? That you didn't ever want to end up that way?"
Shalimar looked at Wynn.
"You said that the people who put us through that mad experiment were people who took power of something they did not fully understand and that's why they died. Remember the crap we went through? We both have an unnatural base fear of death. I don't know about you, but I lost count of how many times I was drowned, fed to a River Fish, stabbed, choked, beheaded, dismembered, skewered, poisoned, my throat slit, my neck broke, hanged, starved to death, died of thirst, electrocuted, blown up, and crushed to death under everything imaginable--only to wake up the next morning on a Riverbank somewhere because of those leaders. If you do this, you'll end up being no better than them--and eventually wind up like them."
[1]Shalimar chuckled darkly. "Those were some fun times." Reverting back to her normal form, she said, "Alright. I'll leave it for now. Dad, do you think we can get mom to solidify some so we can take her back?"

Breakout!Once the guards had passed her room, she quickly rolled out of her cot and put her hand out through the bars with a piece of glass in her palm. Using the glass, she was able to confirm the guards had left the high security lock-down area. Pulling her arm back into the cell, she tossed the glass onto the cot. Backing up a few steps, she flicked her
long red hair off the back of her neck and put her cigar in her mouth. Cracking her neck, she suddenly lifted a leg and kicked the cell door open.
Grinning to herself, she wondered how many times it was going to take for the guards to realize her powerful legs could break down any cell door they attempted to lock her behind. Making sure the coast was clear--she only had a minute or two before the hall filled with guards armed with guns and nightsticks. As it was on her way to the exit, she kicked in the cell door next to hers to see who had been put in it. Seeing nothing more than a pile of glowing embers, she shrugged and made to move.
< Take me with you. It will be worth it. >Glancing over her shoulder back into the room, she saw nothing but the ember pile. "Hello?"
< Yes, it's me the ember pile talking you dumb broad. >"Okay so yer a super intelligent pile of glowing ash," she replied. "How exactly d'yeh plan on me carrying ya? It's not like yer very cool ta th' touch."
< I won't burn you. >"If ya say so," she replied, shrugging. "I'll be jumpin inta a vat o'water if yer wrong."
Walking over to the ember pile, she picked a handful up--which was surprisingly cool despite the throbbing red glow--and began to stuff it down her shirt.
< What are you doing? > The question was not so much angry as curious with a light undertone of perverse pleasure.
"Don't have pockets and I'll be needin' me hands," she said, scooping the last of the embers up and dumping them down the front of her shirt. "If ya don't like the ride then yer welcome to stay behind."
