Feeling Rose's healing power course through her as she hugged her, Dragon said, "Of course! Where I come from, it is customary for one Queen to pay homage to another Queen at her crowning."
Glancing around, Dragon added, "Now I can't give you the customary gift as that is unique to my kind only--" Dragon saw Trella's eyes narrow and grinned. "But I can give you a proper gift of protection."
Turning to her family, Dragon said, "Follow my lead. Flan, make sure Nogard doesn't get ahead of the rest of us."
< Will do, > Flan replied.
Leading the Dragon Dynasty and Honorary Dynasty to a clearing, Dragon spaced them all out evenly as she could feel hundreds of kitsune eyes on her back as they tried to see what she was up to. Turning back to face the kitsunes, Dragon picked Rose out and winked. All at once, Dragon dropped the locks she had installed before arriving to Green Shade. In a waterfall effect, the others dropped their locks as well.
As the Kitsunes gasped in a single collective, Dragon directed her family to surround the kitsunes to prevent the kitsunes from running over each other to try and get away. Raising her hands to show she meant no harm, Dragon said, "Now you needn't worry about us! Rose is my goddaughter and she is your Queen. This makes you a part of my family and I always protect my family. Even if Rose were to rennounce the crown, I shall still consider all of you part of my family for some of the best of Rose's origins come from here."
If I ever get to meet the angelic side of her bloodline, Dragon thought. I hope it's not as bloodthirsty as the other three. [1]
"Oh, one last thing to clarify," Dragon said as an afterthought. "That kitsune we brought with us, we found him as a killed captive of demon slavers. That particular order of demon slavers, as you know, had captured Rose. We came across them on our trip here and not only decimated their base, but set up--"
A quick bright light filled the night sky.
Looking at the light without shading her eyes, Dragon said, "Nissa?"
"That was Vaurgon," Nissa replied. "The homeworld of the demon slavers and thousands of their ships as well as the vessels that traded business with them."
Looking over at Nogard as the light faded, Dragon asked, "Overkill much?"
"Insurance it doesn't happen again," Nogard replied.
Dragon chuckled. "Not a bad idea. N--"
From the corner of her eye, Dragon saw Wynn tackle Dai and started licking her. "Uhhhh....something I should know?"
< Wait five minutes and you'll see, > Flan said.
Pushing at Wynn, Dai said, "The feline blood in her has her in heat! Get her off before I go!"
"Creighton," Dragon sighed. "Please?"
Nodding, Creighton walked over to Wynn and all but hauled her off Dai. "There may be time for that later, little one, but not now."
"Awwww," Wynn pouted.
Dragon rubbed the bridge of her nose and sighed.
