So, I gave blood for the first time ever today. It's not as bad as I thought--and I got a cool sticker, bandaid, and button for it ^_^
If you've never given blood before, the cool bandaid is for when they pricked my ring finger to test iron levels in my blood before they actually stuck the big needle in my arm to draw blood. For the spot where they drew blood (in the crook of my right arm) they got a thick piece of gauze over it held in place by a couple of rounds of athletic tape.
And...You are commanded to look here and do as the entry says!!! domokun domokun
Edit: It was snowing all friggin day today and there was at least 1.5 - 2 inches at about 4:30pm today--obviously a little more now at 8:30pm. Because the roads are, to steal a phrase from my dad, "slicker than snot" I am spending the night at my dad's...which is only 5 minutes away from work in normal weather conditions (I live 20-25 minutes away from work in normal weather conditions).
My dad has a dinosaur of a computer that is at least 10 years old. The space bar, if you use your right hand to press it, doesn't work (so I'm currently constantly going back and putting damn spaces in!! scream ) and there are probably 10-thousand viruses and spyware on it.
Then there's the cat over here. My dad got him for me about 10 years ago and he's a half breed Himylayan (I don't know the other half, but he's got marginally long fur) that weighs damn near 20 pounds. If you want an idea of what a 20 pound cat in your lap feels like, go find a 20 pound sack of flour and literally drop it in your lap).
anyway, gonna go get something to eat then watch the rerun lost
