"I do not know about your creators," Nerissa Altsoba said from the display screen. "But the technicians who built me had no use for an AI that suffered from stress."
"And Ikkit continued that when she built me as an extension of myself," Nissa said. Looking at Lisa, she said, "Though your creators seem to have included an emotion chip loaded with hyperactivity."
"I suppose there may be some usefulness in being constantly hyper," Nerissa the hologram said. "Perhaps Lisa could explain it."

Small Memory Recall
When Taran gave the Dragoon response to his greeting, Creighton slumped back in his chair. Placing a hand over his eyes, Creighton was not aware that Taran was pretty much towering over him as a particular strong memory washed over him.
"Creighton," his master ordered. "You are to escort ——— to the Sanctuary."
"What about ———?" Creighton asked,
"——— will be fine," Creighton's master said. "——— is watching over the group."
"Perhaps we should take them both off the planet," Creighton said.
"Your duties come before ———," Creighton's master ordered.
"If he ever asks me to do something like that again," Creighton whispered, "I will quit being his Dragoon regardless of the punishment involved. I won't go through that again."

Myuu Meets Flan
Myuu was annoyed that someone had sought him out using telepathy. Once the presence had withdrawn, Myuu roughly sent out his own "probes" to find out who had been spying on him. The only thing he found was an old blind woman.
He was about to disdainfully pass her by and press his search radius outward when he noticed something at the last second. Drawing back to examine the old woman, Myuu realized that she had recently come across Dragon and her family. Smiling, Myuu withdrew his probes after analyzing her.
Since she was approaching him anyway, Myuu waited for the old woman to appear around the corner of the cliff that separated them.
