Instructions 2
Listening carefully to what Rose relayed from Shalimar, Lord Avondale said, "Ask Shalimar if she had fought this Staruda creature before. And if so, how did she defeat it?"
He chose for the moment to overlook Rose saying neurological out loud.

What?
When Shalimar picked up the word neurological from Rose, Shalimar said, "The Staruda never affected one's nervous system despite what it seems to be a combination of. The Staruda's more into having it's food kicking and screaming while it's eating rather than dying quietly."

Freed
Hearing Taran unlock the door, n** climbed up the ladder and out on the platform. Seeing the look on Taran's face, n** held up a hand to silence him. "Not another word. You did what you thought was right and if our situations were reversed, I'd've done the same thing. So I have no problem with it."
Looking about, n** saw her wand on the floor pushed up against the wall. Picking it up n** waggled it between her fingers and said, "Found my wand!"
<See? > Flan said from the cabin. <Told you everyone had good in them. >
"Smartass," n** said.
<I know. >

Meeting Timon and Pumbaa
Kovu led Xink across a open plain and to a giant rock with a near horizontal rock jutting out from it. To Xink's amazement, there were several lionesses laying about it sunning themselves in the sun--he had never seen so many mammals in one area as the only place he had ever been outside of his Aunt Dragon's ship or home was to Lady Rose's house.
"Wait here," Kovu said, leaving Xink at the base of a path leading up to where the horizontal rock met the vertical rock.
Sitting on his haunches, Xink looked about. Approaching him were a warthog with a meerkat riding on it's back. They were arguing about bugs despite the obvious danger of wandering about in a pack of lions.
Once they were near enough for him to speak to, Xink interrupted the two and asked, "Aren't you two scared? You're in a pack of lions."
"Lions?" the meerkat asked, looking about. "These guys? Nah. These are the biggest bunch of pussycats you'll ever see."
"Yeah," the warthog added. "They're really nice to us since we're Simba's friends!"
"You two know Simba?" Xink asked, standing and flicking his tail.
"Of course we do!" the meerkat said. "We raised him!"
"Who are you two?" Xink asked, mystified at their claim of raising a lion.
"I'm Pumbaa and he's Timon!" the warthog replied.
"And who're you?" Timon asked. "Some hanger on?"
"I'm Xink," was the reply. "My mom knows Simba."

Given Orders
"I think that Nate 'n' I may have a way to track Xangord," Ette said.
"We do?" Nate asked, looking at Ette.
"You do?" Dragon asked, looking at Ette. Her eye twitching a bit more.
"I believe so," Ette replied. "We will require the aid of someone with more mana than us to help with the required spell."
"I'll go!" Dragon said.
"It can't be you," Ette said. "Nerissa, did you not pick up the strain?"
"Strain?" Dragon asked. "What strain? I'm not strained!"
"I did," Nerissa said, her hologram form appearing next to Dragon. "But I felt it prudent not to discuss it. How did you know?"
"Her eye twitching," Ette said. "Dragon needs to be restrained and quickly."
"I said--" Dragon started to say before she collapsed in a gale of maniac laughter. Grabbing the nearest deck chair, Dragon hurled it at Ette. "DIIIIIEEEEE witchy!!!!"
As Nate pulled her out of harm's way, Ette said, "Nissa, restrain her!"
"No, I will," Rhonabwy said as he, Alachia, Varda, and Varden appeared on the porch. Pinning Dragon's arm's to her sides, Rhonabwy demanded, "What has happened here?"
As Nissa filled the four in, Ette said to Nate, "This is just like the time you lost Pig [1]. Same spell."
"Will it work on a dragon though?" Nate asked. "A dragon is quite a bit bigger than an owl."
"In theory it will with enough magic," Ette replied.
Looking at Ette and Nate, Alachia asked, "You're sure you two can do this?"
"Given enough magic we can," Nate said.
"Alachia and I will stay here," Rhonabwy said. "Take Varda and Varden with you. Between them, they will have more than enough mana to do what you need to do to bring Xangord back."
