Ready?
Watching as Kaku left, Lord Avondale waited a few moments. Turning his attention back to Lady Rose, he said, "Forgive me, milady, for my distraction from the lad."
He did happen to notice that Rose had a glow that was fading quickly. Choosing to act like he had not noticed it, Lord Avondale said, "To begin, Lady Rose, I will need you to to create a rope out of magic and wrap it about Shalimar's and Wolf's waists."
"And what do we do?" Shalimar asked.
"Both of you transform," Lord Avondale said. "Shalimar, only your anthro form is needed."
As Shalimar and Wolf transformed, Lord Avondale knelt next to Wynn and put a hand on her forehead.

As n** turned to face Taran, Flan remained still and said, <Hello there, sai Taran. I trust all inside is going well? >
Nodding, n** said, "Greetings, Taran. Yes, let's go."
Moving over to n**, Flan wrapped an arm around her waist. <You've been in the sun too long, Mosquito. Your magic is beginning to weaken. >
"What're you..." n** said as she suddenly sagged. "Oh...good point..."
<We should find somewhere dark, > Flan said to Taran. <n** has been going nonstop for about forty-six hours now without a good rest during the daylight hours. I am not familiar with this area so perhaps you could suggest somewhere, sai Taran? Preferably away from prying eyes. >
With the way that Flan said the last sentence, it was clear there was more to it that she did not want to go into at the moment.

Go!!
On the other side of the portal she had created, Xangord pulled Xink into a cave.
"Where are we?" Xink asked.
Ignoring his question, Xangord murmured a spell that transformed her into a lioness and Xink into a lion cub.
"Mother, what is going on?" Xink asked.
"With that display of power at Rose's house," Xangord said, turning to glare at Xink, "you woke up something dangerous."
"What?"
"The majority of people think that dragons are unafraid of anything," Xangord said. "Even when we face slayers, dragons are not truly frightened."
"Yeah. And?"
"There is one thing that all dragons fear the most--above and beyond loosing their hatchlings."
"What would that be?" Xink asked in an awed voice. He had never been frightened of anything despite the human blood running through his veins.
Hearing a noise, Xangord clamped a paw over Xink's muzzle and hissed, "Quiet!"
