Jumping, part 1 of 3

Her brain still a bit fried from all the input of who was related to who and finding out her grandmother was still alive, Dragon shook her head as ANTIE-D asked over the ship's comm system, "We will be back in Gaia's orbit in five minutes. Will we be landing, Dragon?"

"Yeah," Dragon replied--before fainting.


A few seconds later, Dragon sat up. Looking about, she saw that she was not the only one who passed out. Her sisters, n**, Alachia, Xink, Lord Avondale, and even Nerissa had all collapsed and were just waking up. "What the hell?"

Frowning, Holly was massaging her temples. "I think it's Myuu. Somehow, he's managed to cross over into my world to kill me."

"Why would he do that?" Nate asked, helping his mother up.

"If Myuu were to kill the creator of the Dragon Dynasty and it's branches," Alachia said ominously, "then that would clear his way to controlling Wynn. He fears our powers."

"Can't let that happen," Dragon muttered. Looking at Holly, she asked, "Would you be able to pinpoint your portals right to Myuu?"

"Not quite on top of him," Holly replied. "Though I can open within the general area."

"How close are we talking?"

"Close enough. Be sure that I don't see you or else you can destroy your entire family."

Before Dragon could clarify what Holly said, she was suddenly encased in a bright white light that quickly faded [+2]. Instantly, Dragon bent the water in the air around her to offset the light on her so that she appeared invisible.

Looking about, Dragon was interested in her surroundings. She was in some long rectangular building. The walls were made out of faux wood, the floor had orange-brown shag carpeting, and the ceiling had cracked white paint [+3]. Directly in front of her, Dragon saw a human toddler of about sixteen months old with straw-blonde hair and bright blue eyes attempting to walk.

Just as Dragon realized the toddler had seen her, she saw a faint outline of a man kneeling behind the child. with a twisted smile at Dragon, he pushed the little girl. Reacting quickly, but still a bit slowly as she wasn't quite for sure what was going on, Dragon created a water cushion for the girl to hit rather than the edge of the coffee table the toddler was about to crack her head open on. Because she was a bit slow in reacting, the toddler ended up only splitting her lip on the edge of the coffee table.

As the toddler fell to the floor screaming, a redheaded woman rushed in. "Holly? Holly are you okay baby?"

Did that woman just-- Dragon thought as the blinding light surrounded her again.

When the light faded, Dragon saw she was in a different room, and possibly another time. This room had a polished hardwood floor, faux wood walls, a stippled ceiling and a table along one wall packed with pictures of people that had to all be related. In the middle of the room, three kids--two boys and a girl--were playing some game.

The oldest, a black haired boy about ten, was lying flat on his back with his feet in the air. The other two, a girl with straw blonde hair and green eyes about seven and a boy with black hair and brown eyes of about six, took turns sitting on the older's feet. Once the two younger ones were settled, the older boy would catapult them into the air towards a thin-looking mattress. [+4]

"Ready Holly?" the older boy asked once the girl had settled on his feet.

"Yeah!" the girl replied happily.

As the older boy launched Holly into the air, Dragon saw the man appear again and added his own shove to throw the girl off balance. In a split second, Dragon saw that Holly would be landing on her neck on the hardwood floor--an injury that could be fatal to humans. Creating a fairly dry steam vent towards Holly, Dragon helped her regain her balance to land on her stomach rather than on her back.

As the light flashed again, Dragon thought to herself, So apparently Myuu is trying her best to kill Holly when she's younger--why does this theme sound familiar? [+5]
