Rescues

When Taran told her she didn't need to clean for the time being, n** thought to herself, Keep telling yourself that. You don't see this blood up front and personal...it's really disgusting and I've seen some really disgusting things.

"Puuu!"

Looking up, n** saw the little marshmallow thing with rabbit ears at Taran's feet. Scanning it's mind, n** realized that it was trying to tell them that Xangord was inside and in need of medical attention.

Since she was still gaunt for the moment--she hadn't fully fed yet--n** ran by Taran so quickly she may have been only a passing breeze. Gathering a semi conscious Xangord from the entry of Dragon's house, n** rushed back in--again so fast she may have been no more than another passing breeze--and lay Xangord on the examination table.

"Taran, grab that thing off the loading bay and see to Xangord!" n** said, carefully keeping her back to Taran as she headed for the cockpit. "I don't have my wand with me so I can't fix her injuries. See what you can do for her."

Annoyances

"While we're waiting," Dragon said to Rose, "perhaps you can shut that noise making bug up."

"It is a rather young pixie," Nissa said. "And it's just trying to get Rose's attention."

"You understand that thing?" Dragon asked.

"I am programmed with over nine hundred centillion languages," Nerissa's hologram form said. "Languages from ancient times to modern day."

"Yeah, well, tell that thing to shut up," Dragon said. "It's giving me a headache."

"Let's go to the bridge," Shalimar said, taking Dragon's hand and pulling her out of Medical Bay. "Wynn, stay here with Rose and the others. Come Nissa."

Troubles

Before he could free Nogard, Xink was thrown backward by an invisible force. Crashing into the pews behind him, Xink heard Nogard call his name. Staggering to his feet, Xink said, "I'm alright. What happened?"

"I'm not su--RAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHUUUUAAAAHHHHH!" Nogard roared as electricity coursed through her.

"Aunt Nogard!" Xink exclaimed, rushing forward--only to be thrown backwards again by the invisible force--only this time to land in the arms of a Renstok. Before he could fight back, the Renstok tied Xink's arms to his sides with rope that would not allow him to transform into his dragon form.

"Do not fear, little suoh," the Renstok said as the electricity coursing through Nogard was cut off. "We will not kill her. That is your job."

"I won't kill my aunt!" Xink yelled.

"You tell 'em!" Nogard yelled, though not quite aware what was going on. She had never been electrocuted before.

"By the time we get done with you," the Renstok said, lifting Xink onto his shoulder in a fireman's carry. "You'll do whatever we ask."

"Bring him back!" Nogard yelled. An old familiar feeling was rising within her--something she had not felt in a long time. Something she had missed. "You lay a hand on that kid's head and I will kill you all!"
