"Puu!" the creature said happily, jumping through the portal before the girls behind him could react. Landing on the grass on the other side of the portal, the creature looked about cheerfully.
From the corner of its eyes, it barely registered the human sneaking up on it and tried to react--but it was too late.
"Puu!" it cried unhappily as the human caught it and stapled a jewel on to its ear. "Puu-pu-puuuu!"
The gem on the creature's head flashed brilliantly and the human holding the creature vanished in a poof of smoke. Making saddened noises as it realized he was stranded out with his friends, the creature spied a house not too far off and made its way there.

But because I have yet to see Tsubasa (in english, I've found a bit of it in japanese), I like the MKR Mokona better.
