So, i haven't written in awhile, have i? Well, i suppose i should update you! Firstly, i haven't gone on any amazing vacations/trips anywhere. Pretty much i've been just hanging around the house and occasionally at the park and whatnot. However, I have found something to do! And it's not totally worthless and a waste of my time either! (impressive, right?) You ready to hear the super awesome amazing thing i'm doing this summer? Well, i'm going to be learning a bunch of songs on the keyboard! (wooo!) Yep, that's my goal. I have a list of songs. And the first song is dooown! It's Thinking Of You by Katy Perry. Yeah, of course you've heard it on the radio, right? It sounds really pretty on the piano..well, on the keyboard i guess. :/ Gosh, i wish i had a piano. Anyways, i've got that song pretty much mastered. And guess what! I actually finished this one. See, you may not know this but every single song on the piano that i've ever learned to play i have not finished. I always get ready to play another song right when i'm close to learning the end, and then i never do learn the end so I just improvise an ending. But THIS ONE has an ending. Impressive, yes? maybe not to all you amazing people who can play the piano amazingly, but for me it IS impressive.
Now what to say? Oh, well i've kind of got this summer tradition going on. It's not one celebrated by anyone but me. It's pretty unique, if i do say so myself. Every summer I end up riding my bike with flipflops on and then the bike will make a sudden unexpected stop and i'll skin my toes. It's happened three years in a row now. And my toe isn't feeling so great, i can assure you. But it's all in the name of tradition. not that i do this intentionally, i don't. See, Today i was going to the park for like, the third time today and it was around, oh eight o'clock i'd say. So I start walking over to Meagan's house, but then i remember that she's not home so i'm like "aw, mittens" and i walk back to my house and figure "hey, i might as well take my bike, i haven't rode it yet today. Besides, I'm not going to skin my toes again, that was just some freak thing. Definately not going to happen." so i get on my bike and i'm riding up the road getting ready to turn the corner to the park. And that road gets kind of steep, and i' m pretty sure my tires are flat or something, because they make it exceptionally difficult to ride. So i stood up on the pedals. That's not such a stupid thing to do, right? everyone does that when they're going up hills. But my bike has kind of got a mind of it's own, because it gets all rickety and it makes these clicking noises and, well you know how when you're pedaling forward it just keeps going forward, it won't just suddenly give out on you and stuff, because that would be stupid and bikes are supposed to be reliable. Well, my bike is not like other bikes. and it IS stupid. So as my foot gets to the top of the pedaling circle the pedals suddenly drop down with no resistance at all and of course that makes me lose my balance and start tilting to the side. So what do i do? i put my foot down, duh. But wait, i'm wearing flip flops. Ha haa, ooh yeah, i forgot. neutral So as soon as i realize, (let's hope there were no little children around) I had just enough time to whisper "oh s**t" and then BAM you can just feel it, you know? So i'm like, well this sucks. What do i do, go back home and casually ninja my way into the door and get a bandaid then head back out? well, those of you who know me really well realize the problems of entering a house with a bloody toe. So instead i decided, the hell with it, and i just went to the park. The nice thing about when you first do something like that is that it's numb. So i'm just sitting there on the swings staring at my toes freaking out a little bit. I'm not exactly squeemish or anything, but my insides shake a little bit. Anyways, I decided that i might as well rinse it off because staring at myself bleeding really isn't all that pleasant (God, is this is an interesting journal or what!) So i get some water from the water fountain and rinse it off, and who would have known! it looks tons better. So i mentally promote myself to "Nurse Jacky" and smile a little bit about that, even though i'm totally alone and anyone watching would be going "What is WRONG with that person?!" So now I'm very satisfied with my superior doctoring skills and go back to the swings and sing some Sweeney Todd songs and then i go home and put a bandaid on it and Ta-da, i'm all better. Only now the numbness has worn off. Woah, holy goodness I just looked back at how much i wrote. you people must hate me. XD i could have just said "so i was riding my bike and i skinned my toe." but no, i'm so darn weird that i had to write a whole journal about it. Ohh well, some of you may get a kick out of this at least. But now i must sign off, because apparently my dad is willing to go to blockbuster to get GOOD movies, and that is one opportunity that i just cannot pass up.
