This part of the song "Hell Of It" By Paul Williams(Swan) Describes the whole damn movie..

Phantom Of The Paradise is a musical/comedy/horror about Winslow Leech and how he "Sells his soul for Rock and Roll"

Now I got to start this saying straight out I love all the music in this movie(All by Paul Williams) and The acting is great(BEEF!)

So the movie starts out with a little doo-wop song by "The Juicey Fruits"(Good Bye Eddie) The songs good, nice little gags by the background singers..the song itself pretty much sums up the movie, and winslows story..
So after the song, you hear Swan talk to Philbin(Reffrence to Phantom of the Opera) about their old client, then Winslow comes and plays his song "Faust". Swan is moved by his preformance & song and decied that his song will open his new rock palace, the Paradise..So he sends Philbin in the get Winslows songs.
After no word from Swan about his Cantata, He goes to Death records to see why hes not being seen about a record, gets tossed out, then goes to swans house(The song:"Never Though Id Get To Meet The Devil" Plays) and he finds Swans house to be full of wemon singing his song "Faust".
He walks up to Swans room, past all the crappy singers, hearing one actual good one(Phenix), and he sings with her, and falls in love with her, then she almost gets raped, then Winslow gets thrown out again(He gets no brakes huh?)

So now it cuts to a room where theres a bunch of wemon on a bed talking about swan, one Winslow in drag. Swan comes in, Calls Winslow a f**, throws him out(AGAIN?) and gets 2 black cops(Thought that was ironic..) to set him up, sending Winslow to the prison Sing-Sing(Haha..Pun) for Life(Harsh..)

Now in prison, they take his teeth, and make him work, to the music of the "Juicy Fruits"(The band he loaths). One day he hears them do his Cantana and goes insane, killing the guard, and escaping, going on a rampage destroying all the "Juicey Fruit" records he can find, eventually he tries to destroy a record maker, getting his head burnt horribly. Mamed and Disfigured Winslow runs off into The water..

Now it cuts to first person view of him going into the paradise and dressing like the phantom.
He then procedes to "Haunt" The Paradise, killing the band the Beach Bums. Swans finds him, confronts him, and makes a deal with him that ends in trying to brick winslow off in a room(But Swan does help by giving him a voice box so he can talk). So Winslow angry goes for revenge.
Meanwhile they hired the band Beef to play The Cantata, Beefs a pretty entertaining character, and im sad to see him die..all Philbin's fault..
So then Phenix starts to sing, becomes a hit, and Swan to get back at Winslow trys to marry her and kill her.(Winslow trys to kill himself, cant and decides to kill Swan)
Winslow finds opon his old taped of his deal with the literal devil to never make himself old, and destroys it then trys to stop the assassination of Phenix, he is succsesful, and Philbin ends up being shot, and The Crowd goes wild, Winslow goes after Swan killing him with a pointy hat,(With the help of a random crowd member.) and once killing him, the wound from the suicide attempt opens making it so he dies also, Phenix sees Winslow dying and relizes who it is and freaks, the movie ends with Phenix consoling Winslow and the crowd of people dancing.

Now The movie is a great movie, my favorite musical, because its done how musicals should be done, and its not annoying and stupid.
This is a great smart movie, thats entertaining, funny and just fun to watch with good music.

Screams: 3/5 Beefs scream at the end of his songs great..
