Quite the question of the day, no?
Not quite as heavy/deep as it seems, I promise.
Anwho, I was just wondering. After a slightly long/random PM with Spacial Pirate, here is my question - what is the meaning of life? And also, does death make life pointless? It's confusing. Weird. Bizzaro - I mean, what's the point of sticking around if we're just going to kick it later on? Eventually, we'll all be forgotten. Not very many people ever really know the true us. And it's just kind of...weird.
So what's the deal with why we're here? Just my random question. Quite broad/vague, so I'm pretty much open to anything. You can get all religious on me, or all hippie "it's the universe, man"-ish, or just add your two cents. I honestly don't care what your response is - serious or joking, deep or lighthearted - so much as you don't swear profusely. Yes.
So. Meaning of life. Discuss.
(oh. and also, one of my favorite answers to this comes from the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. They claim the Answer is 42, but that doesn't matter - it's really the Question you're after)

Smoke and Mirrors
Lately I've kind of been slowly coming to the strange realization that my life really is bizarre...but not in big cosmic ways. It's on a much smaller scale - the tricks are all smoke and mirrors.
