So, using that amazing thing known only to us mere mortals as "surfing", I was able to aquire something on Gaia known as a "nautilus". Pretty nifty, right?
But then, unfortunately, when I went to check my aquarium, it wasn't in my inventory. Very sad. Because you know, a virtual fishtank isn't a virtual fishtank without its own nautilus. I was virtually heartbroken.
However, when I went to change my avatar, I couldn't help but notice something strangely awesome - my nautilus had reappeared! It was there, it hadn't abandoned me for a greater gaia member with a cooler avatar, nor had it gotten lost in that expansive black hole we like to call "cyberspace." I gleefully welcomed it home.
That is, until I realized a nautilus is not an underwater critter, but a hat. Yes, you heard me right. A hat.
So. It turns out that that poor creature I missed so much is not really a creature, but something that one can virtually wear on their head. Or their back, should they choose to do so. So now I've got a nautilus for sale, should anyone be lacking in the nautilus department. From what I can tell, it's either a helmet or a backback. I still don't know if it's alive, though.
As my lovely friend Amy likes to often say,
Ain't that a metaphor for livin?
