Distractions all around me
Keeping me away from it
Why can't they all see
That my candle isn't lit

To draw a blade now
Run it along my skin
Without a single care now
What could I have been

These thoughts left aside
Only pain is in my mind
To which shall I abide
The heart, the mind, is either a crime

Watch as the blood pours forth
A slight smile over my lips
Yes I have stayed this course
Now the blood seems to drip

Now setting the blade down
Resting my head back slow
I won't let myself die with a frown
So with that I take my bow

Slumped down and fallen
Given up on myself it seems
I hear a distant voice calling
That is when I wake from my dreams...
