So I have just be informed that there have been requests for the second installment of my story. So, without further adue, I present it to you. xP
It was made even more so apparent of the Boar King's unwanting of the Third Estate later on that day...
The animals of Golden Leaf who had been present at The Clearing that important day had traveled from many a corner of the forest. Some had traveled for days to be at such an event. Having traveled so far, they needed a place in which they could meet together and sleep for the night. And they had been promised such a place...
The animals of common made their way to the Apple Grove. Though it be barren this time of year, it was still a lovely sight to behold and a wondrous spot in which to rest. But when they arrived at its entrance the way was barred by the king's men.
The rabbit who had spoken to the king earlier in the day stepped forth. "Sirs, why may we not pass to the Apple Grove? This is where we have been told to go".
The king's men replied saying, "There is an imperfection within it, a fallen tree... The king does not want his people to have to see it. You shall have to go else where".
The rabbit was unconvinced. He pressed the men more.
"But where else have we? Surely the king would not send us here if he meant only to shy us away".
The king's men did not answer.
The rabbit sighed and turned back to the rest of the animals of common.
"We have no choice, we must go to another place".
Unsure of where to go, the animals made their way to the river, where they knew could at least rest and refresh themselves with the water it provided.
When they arrived there, they were surprized to see a few clergy members and nobles.
"We heard of the king's men barring you of the Apple Grove..." the stray members of the first two estates told them.
"Though you may not think it so, we believe the forest should be run differently, as we know you all do..."
The animals of common believed them, for they knew they would not have spoken to them if they meant otherwise. So they animals all gathered closer together. A rattlesnake of common spoke up.
"I propose we pledge this day to stay united till at last we have an equal forest!"
The animals cheered as he continued, "Take oath with me today by this river, my brothers and sisters. Oath with me that we shall not stop till our dreams of that equal forest are made reality!"
On that day, by that river members of all the estates pledged their oath to a new forest. They dreamt dreams of equality.
They called themselves The National Assembly of Golden Leaf.
The National Assembly of Golden Leaf worked hard and long together that day. They put their furred heads together and put theirs dreams to something tangiable. They formed the Constituion of 1791. Why of 1791, they were unsure. But they knew it made sense to those who counted most.
And so, The Riverside Oath had taken place. Uniting not only the animals of common, but animals of holy and noble as well.
Though they knew the path they now tread would be hard, they could still see a bright future at its end. And they would chase down that path till they reached it.
