ToB was fun. I was stuck on a bus for 4 hours there and another 4 hours back. I was sitting next to Kathleen, Jess G, Jess D, and Holly. I talked to Jess G almost the whole time. We made fun of Axel and Roxas and so ruined the moment during Hercules when Meg died. (As in: "Roxas, why did you... You didn't have to..." "People do crazy things... when they're in love." wink

We ate at Whataburger in Las Cruces and Jess G ordered as "Saix." It was sick. The people there stared at us like we were insane.

I wasn't able to march because I messed up both Achilles tendons and I smashed my toe really, really bad. Jason took pity on me when I came out of the bus crying because I was in so much pain from those stupid shoes. I love Jason. He is the coolest out of all the band assistants. He offered to carry me around and let me wear my normal shoes. He even wants me and Jess G to teach all the backdrop people the "backdrop handshake" we made up at Zia.

We had way too much fun. NMSU's band came out and Jess and I were very focused on the two male color guard memebers that we dubbed "Axel" and "Roxas." We sounded crazy ("Spin that flag Axel!" wink .

Eldorado band lingo is amusing. Jess and I were standing in the bathroom and I needed my collar latch hooked. It is impossible to do by yourself. So I said in the middle of a crowded bathroom: "Where is a hooker when you need one!" Ok, in Eldorado Band lingo, a "hooker" is what we call someone who hooks the latch on the collar. So everyone in the bathroom turned and stared like I was some type of freak.

We got into Finals. That is really spiffy. Coronado won though. Marching season is now over!

Got home at 3 AM and had to get confirmed at 9 AM. That was not fun. They gave me cake though...
