Username: blackghost7 Your Gender: Female Schedule: Everyday (in between and after classes) Name: Ariadne Schayxon Gender: Female Race: Drowkan-Vampire Age: Ariadne is around 476 years old, but having been turned at the age of 178, she appears to be around 22 in human years. Description: Standing at about 5'6" Aruuvea is of average height. She has all the delicate features of an elf maiden...A slender yet curvaceous body, full breasts, and the small fragile appearance of any normal female. Her long white hair flows over her slender shoulders accenting her skin perfectly, and deep green eyes do to only further her beauty. However, since she has been turned, there have been certain changes to the drowkan's appearance, resulting in a lot of her features being lightened. For example, her once dark skin faded to a pale (yet somehow still dark) purple, her deep green eyes changed to a paler green, and her nails turned completely transparent making them somewhat glasslike in appearance. Keep in mind though that while her nails may look frail, they are as strong as steel. The same could also be said of her body. Being a female, her body is more slender and beautiful than muscular, but due to her strange bloodline she is a lot stronger than she looks. Thus, it would be a grave mistake to take this drowkan-vampire at face value, and she is a foe never to be underestimated.
Ariadne dons a black hooded shirt that falls to about mid thigh, with a half inch strip of golden silk sewn into the bottom hem and along the splits on its sides. In very fine detail, her top also has intricate gold embroidery stemming off of the silk strip, giving the shirt a simple yet elegant appeal. Keeping with the color scheme, the shirt's baggy sleeves are neatly tucked into a pair of golden cuffs that begin at mid-forearm and end at her wrists. Ariadne also wears a loose fit belt that hangs just off of her hips. Her shirt folds over the belt in most areas, but in the places where her belt secures her weapons and coin pouch, it is made visible. Her plain black pants are snug for maximum movement, and are tucked into a pair of black knee high onyx boots. The boots themselves too art simple yet elegant; they are folded down to about mid calf, exposing the gold embroidery on the inner lining. Keeping with the black and gold, Ariadne wears a gold ring with a polished obsidian rock on her right ring finger. The ring, thought to be an ordinary ring does nothing more but conserve energy when spell casting. Also, she wears a small gold ear cuff; it allows for her to both speak and understand different languages (this however does not work with every language, only a seven to be exact).
Even though she relies a lot on magic, her weapon of choice is not a staff. Instead, she favors the scimitars overall. Her twin blades are made with fine elfin steel, making them extra sharp, strong, durable, and of course, magical. The blades have no real magic themselves for they are not sentient swords, rather they are enchanted, allowing for quicker movements. It is really nothing to worry about; that is unless you are slow, if that is the case, then feel free to do so. Also, you wouldn’t think she would throw off her scheme for her blades would you? Of course not, that is why her swords' gold-alloy hilts are wrapped in black leather. Magic: Being a darkness master, Ariadne has the ability to control the element darkness, and the shadows around her. While this is rarely used as an actual attack, it is still quite effective as defense and evasive magic. She is known to use this "power" to quickly vanish and evade brutal hits or even to hide in a nearby shadow to avoid fighting altogether. Also, this can be used to create Shades, or copies of Ariadne. In doing so, she too is covered in the black fog-like shadows, making it nearly impossible to tell her from the imposters. This is often used as a scare tactic, considering that they are nothing more than a bluff since they cannot attack, and will disappear when touched.
Ariadne is also an apprentice in two other forms of magic: fire and necromancy. Fire is more of an everyday thing that she uses for warmth; but can be used as an attack as well. When it comes to fire, it is summoned as either massive infernos for shields, or small fire balls for firing at the enemy. As far as her necromancy, it is often mistaken as white magic since she uses it to heal herself, but in actuality the health comes from an unfortunate victim. If it is used to heal another the same is true, but in dire situations she has been known to take the energy from herself and give it to others. She hardly every uses necromancy for good though, after all it is often referred to as the dark arts. That being the case, when using it she often uses curses and traps, draining the life of others, and summoning the dead. However, having yet to master the two, she rarely uses them in battle due to their large energy drain. So instead, they are practiced in private and not put to actual use. Gods: Originally a drowkan, Ariadne still follows Terrin, the God of Darkness; but since learning new magic, she had also turned to a second, Flayr, the God of Fire. History: Shadow has an average past, just like any other drowkan. She had two parents that were rarely if ever seen together, and is the eldest of three, making her in constant danger. Being the eldest, the estate would naturally fall to her next, making her the family head. Her younger sisters, as with all of her kind, were raised to compete and were always looking for ways to do away with their elder sister in hopes of inheriting the family riches themselves. The only reason she left her prosperous life far below the surface was out of boredom. She had long since grown bored of the schemes, and everyday fights with her younger siblings. Her life had become monotonous, and she needed a change. Yet growing up in such a place can make on naïve. She had to learn a few tough lessons quick, and ran in to quite a few problems along the way. For example, never before had she been looked down upon for being a woman; for where she came from, women where superior to men. But after all was said and done, she figured things out.
The second major change in Ariadne's life came at the age of 178. She came across the path of a powerful vampire, one of the few foes that she had not been able to defeat. Needless to say, she was captured and taken as his prisoner. That same night, after recognizing her power and usefulness, he turned her and became her master. In time, he developed feelings for her and had begun to teach her the dark arts of necromancy, and the destructive element of fire. Hungry for power, she stayed by his side, pretending to be in love as well only to learn more about such powerful magic. When she was satisfied with what she had learned and that she could teach herself from there on out, she ended the relationship, killing the man in battle that lasted for hours. In the end, having been drained of nearly all her energy, she fed off of her former master, teacher, and lover and fell into a deep sleep. The sleep lasted for several days and left her completely vulnerable to attack, but when she awoke, she was that much more powerful.
Now she spends her days wondering the lands, and practicing her magic. With real purpose in life, it has become her quest to find one.
