Feeling :: surprised
As I headed down my usual paths, I heard a commotion that captured my attention. Curious, I moved closer toward the chaos of murmurs and shouting. I wasn't sure what to make of it, although I had a small inkling of what the excitement could be about. I knew it would soon be time, but did it happen already?
Yes, it had, to use an old line that should probably be considered cliché. Stepping through the various clumps of mini-crowds, I could understand the commotion. Excitedly I took my place behind a group of others and began reading what was posted. It looked all very tantalizing to me as I re-read the announcements.
I wasn't sure if I would follow the crowd, but I soon found myself standing in front of a man wearing red yukata and shades. He merely looked at me, waiting for my response. Before him lay leaflets. Sheepishly I picked up one and headed to the outdoors. A place down at Barton West Field had my name on it. ^^
I went through the leaflet, both sides, but it offered little information that I didn't know about already. Some of the concepts described within were neat and I fiddled around with how I would set it up. Yet, it wasn't exactly like I imagined it, and not in a good way. I guess that saying is right: Good things come to those who wait.
Realizing that I had done most of the footwork, I went along with the other Gaians and filled in the leaflet. Upon completion, the leaflet disappeared into two small balls of pale blue fire before revealing a soft-covered bound book in my hands. I knew it wouldn't be exactly as I wanted it, but it would do.
I opened up the cover and plucked my favourite purple gel pen out of its case.
