because that code doesn't work when a post is edited and I have to change the square brackets to < and > respectively, I finally get a chance and even then it's not that great. ^^;;;
I'm happy to say that in addition to buying the Emo Bag, I successfully bought a Human G CORP Tshirt and Goti Clips just the other day (May 17th to be precise). I even bought a Sealed Envelope for May, and thankfully it stayed with me, because the second one that I bought for 5,100 gold on the 12th left me on the 14th. That had me grinding my teeth a bit, because after the rollback, the letters were much more than before. I see today that they are finally down in price, but 5,300 gold is still too much for me. 5,000 gold, yes. 5,101 and up, no.
My initial plan was to buy up to four May letters. For now, I'm sticking with two: one that I bought and one that was given to me by Ceymore ( heart ). That's all I'm going to have until the donation items are released and I see how the prices go after a week they're released. I suspect the letters will cheapen come early June.
Currently I'm questing for the ZONY MP3 Player. I was about to say that the price went down since I last looked at it yesterday, but I now see that I'm looking at the wrong item. ^^;;; Hmm. If I had 29,000 gold, I'd be good. Alas, I have only over 6,000 as of this writing, so I'll be a few days yet.
However, CD is helping me out this morning, so that should give me a nice little boost. ^^ I'm very grateful that he's willing to do it, because he doesn't stay on Gaia all that much. More or less, it's just a check to see what's happening. Lately, all that has been happening are bugs and a rollback. Sucky! So it's not like he's missing much.
And I guess that's about all. Once I complete the ZONY MP3 Player quest, I'll have only eight items left. The downer is that they are all expensive items. However, I figure that I should be able to buy at least five items over five months, if I am persistant enough. Ceymore helps me here and there, and I imagine CD may help me again. Beyond them and the bumping contest that I held for the Emo Bag, which generated some donating, I haven't received much. That's okay though, because a quest should be personal, should it not? I should be the one doing most of the work, in my line of thinking.
And I must say that I am doing incredibly well pulling my weight. I don't like to brag, but when I can complete a quest mostly on my own efforts, I'm a happy camper. If it weren't for the fact that I like to putter around in a thread, I probably wouldn't bother with a quest thread. Somehow I've associated a quest thread with receiving of gold from Gaians. Really it's a marker of how far I've progressed and how far I have left and not so much a plea for donations. Yet, I still have the voice that cries out asking where the donations are. What a relief it's only as audible as a mouse scurrying across ceramic tils. ^^
