Were once blockades
Of the weakening

With these chains
There was a lot of time
For it to heal

To break the chains
The chains,
Seemed to be a protectant
A shield
From all hurt and danger
All that was need
To break away the chains
Was the simple act of
Trust
I thought
The chains would always
Barricade my heart
But I was so wrong

My emotions
Could not be restrained
Any longer

Tore away
From the hatred and lies
And finally accepted the love
Now it beats freely
With nothing holding it back
