Every fragile touch leaves behind a scar
A reminder of beauty and the beast we never were
The lullabies are like acid in every word
Of a disease that can not and will never be cured
The sun does shine brighter for you in my mind
The grass is always greener on the other side
I stand beside the fence that separates my world from yours
Reaching out my hand and falling for the same trap door
The labyrinth I built around me, I never left a key
I can't escape my shell and no one can rescue me
In my world, fairy tale endings don't exist
No one can save me with a warm kiss
My hopes and fears have simply melted away
Life is a game I no longer want to play
Only one can win and I'm not the lucky one
While you bathe in the streaks of your golden sun
You surround me and move in closer, sealing my fate
No fear, No sadness as you call check mate
This is the final move I'll make
And this is the final breath I'll take
