Ahhh snap, this is my main character for most of my original stories. She's a night elf, but originally, her name was Dark Moon Lady. I created that name for a fan-fic site about 6 years ago. I didn't know she would be a night elf then, but I saw an image when Warcraft III came out and played along with it. She has her own storyline, personality and such. My idea isn't as much as cliche as some would think. Her alto ego is Alleria Roseblossom, another character I created. I will intentionally continue this series, because there is a lot going on. <3 Enjoy~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I remembered drifting there, quietly in that dark abyss. Floating in midair, my pale body wrapped with the golden strands of my silk hair. It was cold; so very cold. My eyes fluttered open, and I saw the stars all around me. I looked up, shivering there, and gazed around. Everything looked the same. I tilted my body upright and looked down; nothing different. I closed my eyes, and held myself tightly, wanting to cry. Where was I? I...I was getting married. Yes! But...to who? What was happening? Where is everybody?
"Father..." I whispered, "Father, help me..." I pleaded to the emptiness around me. Am I dreaming? Am I dead? I'm so alone...
"Tch, sonovabitch..." I heard a voice echo near me! A strange voice, but it sounds...almost gentle. I looked around and saw another being before me, a way's way. "Wait!" she too was drifting, naked, but her skin was a rich violet hue. I've never seen anything like her. She turned to me, taken back just as I was,
"Who are you? Where are we?" She spoke, diamond eyes sparkling in the distance. I managed to maneuver my way towards her, getting a better look. Her raven black hair held strands of icy blue, face sharp and curious. She wasn't frightened, but she was anxious.
"I... I'm Alleria. And I wish I knew where we were, just as you do."
"You're High Borne." she spoke, completely bypassing my second answer.
"Yes and...you?"
"A descendant of the moon; a night elf." she spoke upfront, not afraid of her identity, "My name is E'zelia Starsong. It means Dark Moon in human tongue." again, she spoke, "What of you?"
"Well, my last name is Roseblossom; my mother's maiden name." I looked down, feeling as though I was spewing the wrong answers.
"Pretty." I saw her slender lips curl into a faint smile and she continued looking around, "I feel as though this place is familiar; like I've been here before, perhaps in a dream."
"A dream?" I asked, staring at her rare beauty. A night elf... I've heard of their kind before but never thought I'd meet one.
"Yes, as if the Goddess spoke to me and here I am. But you... I'm sure you High Borne know nothing of our Goddess." She turned back to me, staring into my emerald eyes.
"No, I do not. But if you say you've been here before, then what is this place?"
"The Spirit World." she spoke, now figuring it out. I felt my eyes widen, my heart jolt.
"Spirit World...?" so it was true, "We are dead..." I heard her laugh,
"Perhaps, perhaps not." She smiled again, reassuring herself.
"But I can't be dead. I was getting married! My father was happy for me I was marrying a Drow champion... I was happy too because I love him and..."
"Drow...?" she made it a question, "What were you doing marrying one of those?"
"You don't understand! We were going to join alliances and..."
"Tch, allying with Dark Elves..."
"Please, he's not what you think! He's not bad..."
"Dark Elves are the trash of the Elvin race, milady. You cannot change who they are, words by praise or not." She sounded harsh, as if the Drow has done something to her... well, the Dark elves were in a sense evil, but they make strong warriors. At least, what my father has told me,
"Anyways, continue."
"Well, I can't remember much...I just woke up and wound up here."
"Damn. I can't remember much either. All I can recall is fighting the enemy, protecting my sisters... and my mother..." Her eyes dimmed, that shine fading slightly, "And then here I am."
"Maybe we are dead..." I spoke, hesitating to touch her arm in comfort,
"Maybe you are." We heard another voice spoke in the blackness, the stars immediately going out, as if dying. E'zelia moved in front of me, holding her hand out. Was she protecting me now...? We saw a broad figure move and approach us in the faint light. He was handsome...so very handsome. That pale face, emerald and gold eye each staring back at us. That jet black hair with a nice sheen. He was adorned with black, gold and red armor, his cloak billowing behind him. A smile crept upon his lips,
"Beautiful ladies, you should figure out by now, if you aren't where you're supposed to be, then clearly, death has taken you. But, I am here to take you back." He spoke, that smooth rich voice washing over me.
"Take us back? Just who are you and why would you want to take us back? What are you clear intentions, lord?" E'zelia still remained, glaring at him. I felt darkness binding to him, and made me shiver even more.
"I am Leviath Winterthorn; a guardian if you will. And I wish to return you home. Only, I can only recover one of your bodies." He turned his gaze to E'zelia, then at me and winked.
"Leviath? That name itself sounds even deadly."
"Ah, your call then, my sweet. If you consider changing your thoughts about me, just say so." And with that, he vanished just as he came.
"What was that about?!" I shouted, "We could've gotten out of here because of him!" She turned to me and glared just the same,
"Are you foolish? Look at him! He even reeks of vile energy. We obviously cannot trust him. Besides, he can obviously return us to our own bodies, he just chooses not to." I watched her eyes gleam at me
"Maybe you're quick to judge..." I muttered under my breath,
"Look, you want to go back to him, fine! Go back then, get married. Live your fairytale dreams." she turned away from me, her hair floating around her. I looked down, saddened. Now I wasn't too sure what to do.
