Ahh, life has been quite eventful for me. And in the good way too. = w=
Let's see... my graduation is last week exactly. It was good because it was way shorter than the one I went to two years ago (Dalndox's graduation), though the opening speech was really stupid. Something about Star Wars and two teachers talking about their high school experiences...
The only funny part was when one of the teacher's cellphones 'went off' (it was a prop sound), and one of the deans known for being a cellphone fiend, constantly confiscating them, walked on stage and did her classic "bring it here" finger twitch. xP
But anyway, it went by fast. It was weird though, because the last three lines were screwed up, because in each one, the first two in the row were supposed to be the last two in the line behind them. I was in the second to last row, so we had to stand, let that row leave, sit down and wait to go follow the line behind where we were sitting. So, we ended up sitting in different places in the end.
Afterward was cool. Got to see my cousin who was off at Marines boot camp for the past few months (not really sure how long it's been). He had a lot of interesting stories.
Friday I went to the next town over, to some of the stores outside the mall area. Dalndox picked up some WoW cards, since he's really gotten into that. Then we decided to go to PetSmart, something we like to do, since we're both cat people.
We found two 8 week old tabby kittens, and one was really affectionate. Dalndox was able to rub noses with it, and wanted it so badly. Vinny, who was also with us, got to hold this one white cat with a couple of brown/black spots that had been really whinny after it woke up. It was cute, because even though it was an older cat, as soon as he picked it up out of its cage, it immediately whipped around instead of away from his hold, and latched onto his shirt. When it was put back in its cage, it was so lovey! > w<
So the next day, first thing in the morning, I was talking to my mom about graduation. She mentioned if I had any hints as to what present I would want for the occasion. I began to tell her about the kittens (among other things), and she let Dalndox and I escort her to the pet store. That day, the people from the shelter would be there to answer questions and help out, so it was a really good idea.
Originally, I was gonn'a get that one that Dalndox fell in love with, but when we got there, we saw the most adorable things ever. o__o
Two kittens. Both were 8 weeks old, just like the other two, only they were tinier. They were just brought in that morning, their first time to be viewed for adoption. One was sleeping, but the one was up and mewing around the cage. He was a little flat-gray puffball, and was tackling his little tinkle ball while looking up with his sad, bright blue eyes at anyone who passed by. When he ate, he lay down in their makeshift food bowl, and shoved his nose into the food.
My mom, Dalndox, and I instantly fell in love! He was so adorable! But then he got sleepy, and we watched him cuddle down with his sister. She was a cute tiger-marked kitten, a gray color with fading white stripes and markings, and her fur wasn't as long as the other one's. Originally, all she did was sleep, but after a while of watching, she got up and became a little more active. Being a soft heart, my mom fell in love with her too, and felt bad that we would be breaking them up. So what did we do?
We adopted them both. > w<
Originally, they were named Eyore (the male puffball), and Emily (the female). Upon further inspection of their cage notes, since the shelter puts up a sheet describing their personalities, whether their good with other cats, dogs and children, whether their neutered/spayed, and if there are special needs to be met, I learned that their was a third kitten named Emma that had been adopted. I also read that originally, before nabbed by the vet that had been taking care of them, they were supposed to be euthanized. D:
Three-hundred dollars later, and we have two energetic kittens, and two angry grown-up cats. xD
Seraphim, my cat that we found about two/three years ago, hated the little buggers at first. She's gotten better, and will willingly get close to them to get a sniff or to walk by whereas when we first got them, she'd hiss and bolt away. But our outdoor cat (that isn't really ours-we just let him in and feed him 'cause he's awesome), has not gotten close to them at all. I mean, he's gotten a little closer, but he still hisses hardcore at them, and will start growling and yowling as soon as he sees them. Though it's funny, Eyore, who we've renamed Israfel (nicknamed Issy), challenged him the first day they met. Fluffums, the outdoor cat, hissed at him, and instead of running away, Issy arched his back and the hair around his tail and butt fluffed out. Fluff did a half circle around him and bolted. xD
Anyways, it's been fun watching them run around. Emily likes to give kisses when you make kissing noises at her, and will put her paws on your lips if she doesn't want to give any. Issy is nothing but a stomach, and goes limp whenever he's tired, and you hold him on his back. He's not very clean though... cat litter sticks to his long hairs like clockwork. =__=
This weekend is my graduation party, and I can't wait. I'm also enjoying the fact that I don't have school til September, even though I have to go down sometime this month, and another time in August. I was actually down there on Tuesday to drop off some paperwork. My grandma and my mom was with me, and we had some fun. Bought my dad a coffee cup for father's day from Starbucks. The sides are black, and it comes with a permanent white marker so you can write stuff on it. I think it's really neat!
After the college stuff, we stopped at the art store conveniently down the block from it. It was the first time I had been in there, and my grandma enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my mom and I didn't have a lot of spending money because we spent it on kittens, but she was nice enough to let me buy a Copic marker (yes, there is such a thing as buying only one marker!). I registered for a member card there, so now when I shop there, I get a student discount! I have a feeling I'll be back there soon after I start school. xD
Well, I think I've typed enough for one day. I wann'a be able to wake up fairly early tomorrow (at least before noon), so that I can mess around and stuff. I also need to keep cleaning for my party. xP
Til later~!
