My entry for the fiction Arena
Ok, so its 4th of july..streets are diserted....a fire work craks, dogs howl.
Around the corner there's a wolf..bloody paws....drip, drip, drip. He looks up growling...scruffy hair, sharp teeth. He was just finshed with his dinner. He walks closer to Cass to see if shes safe. Cass Doesnt move. The wolf accepts her. He shows his acceptnce by marking her on the arm. He scraches her....she now bleeding....but in a familiar shape. A paw print....they now partner. Cass names the wolf .... Moon Scare to be exact. She wonders....Why he has wounded her...as she falls asleep.
Next day she wakes up...a tail and ears are shown upon her. She has yet to see she has become one of...them. Her ears tingle....shes wondering if she is willing to take on the challenge of the wolf watcher....she has accepted...
The moon lay still in the awakening sunrise...not moving..shining...yet strangly...hypnotizing.
Moon scare has noticed her awakening....he tells the pack...they scurry over gretting her with distant howls and ruffs.....
Her new family has now accepted her.....she is officolly The Wolf Watcher....
