Ah, this is what I love about the Wii: you can read hundreds of news articles on one channel, then go over to another and respond to what just happened in the world. Or maybe to what didn't happen, Iunno.
So I have actually found respect in a celebrity. Her name is Amy Adams, appearing in Disney's movie Enchanted. She played Princess Giselle (not sure on the spelling) and seems to be an aspiring actress.
She catches my attention by the fact that she truly believes that she will fail, but continues to accept scripts because she enjoys portraying things that are original. That's a good view to have, I think. She wants to do this, despite feeling insecure. That's something that everyone should learn.
But continuing. So I was sitting around before checking the Wii's news channel, and remembered an interesting story about a woman who ripped out the eight month old baby of another woman, right from the womb. Needless to say, the mother died, but luckily the baby lived and was put into the care of relatives. The woman did this to pose the child as her own, despite telling many that she was infertile.
So what am I getting at here, you may ask? Onto the topic of abortion, that's where.
This woman (if memory holds true) was given a charge of child endangerment, along with other charges. But then you would think that this would be a logical method against the women who have gone through the option of abortion or other anti-birth methods (adding this because for all I know, there are such). Of course, it could also be the doctor's fault aswell for doing the procedure, or both possibly.
There are also cases where a pregnant woman is murdered. Not only is the suspect going to be charged for manslaughter, but seperately for the death of the fetus. Yet women can kill their fetus without any legal intervention. Of course, there is the fact that a slain mother does not have a choice about the future of her unborn. But, still.
Alright, my hand cannot handle this Wii-mote any longer, so I must go. Excuse my lack of sources, considering that the Wii seems to like to update its news every day and it is difficult to know when you will find a topic like this to bring up. Anyway, enjoy.
And as a side note, this is not meant to be offensive or whatever in any way. This is just my own little thinking. You may think however you want on it, just know that these are my opinions. =D
