Well, apparently while I was gone, there was a power outage due to a heavy storm. This always seems to happen when I get stuck going to Wisconsin. Must be a sign or something.
Anyway. This usually wouldn't concern me. Just came in, checked my computer, and left it at that. It worried me that my Wii's light wasn't on, like it should've been in its idle mode, but I shrugged it off as not plugging it back in and went about my business.
Well, today, after recovering a little, I tried to figure out what the problem was. Tried hitting the power button; got nothing. Tried unplugging and re-plugging all of the wires; still got absolutely nothing. By now, I'm a little agitated. So I tried switching it with several other outlets, including the one my temperamental lamp is plugged into. Still nothing.
So by now, I'm pissed. I went onto the Nintendo website, and they have absolutely nothing on this. 'Remove all accessories including game discs'? How the hell is someone supposed to do that when they can't even turn the damned thing on? I'd usually be calm about this and just say 'Well, tomorrow I'll call their Tech Support or something', but there's the matter that I have a game lodged in there. No, not literally. But there is a disc in the slot, and it's a rental. And, just my luck, it's due by... tomorrow, I believe. So either Tech Support better have something worth my while for fixing the problem or a fast as all hell repair service, or I'm screwed. Well, actually Dalndox'll be screwed, but that's just as bad. Dx
Well, my little rant is over. Wish me luck on getting this little problem solved. I need it. Dx
--- Edit: So... sending off for repair is out of the question. Just read it takes two weeks for something like that. Dx
Oi vey...
--- Edit: Found the problem! It's most likely the AC adaptor. Probably was blown out when the power failed. And, as is my luck, the cord is not available in stores. Again, wouldn't be a problem- except that my parents hate buying things online in fear of someone stealing their credit information. =__=
Ah well. We'll see what I can do.
--- Last edit: Awesome. The problem fixed itself. We had a storm coming in last night, and it looked like it was gonn'a be a little rough. Came in, turned off the outlet, and left it at that. About an hour ago, plugged everything back in, and noticed the idle-light was on on the Wii. Success! >w<
