Three Souls One War



“Ryon?” a young boy calls out. “Yeah Sen?” a young mans voice calls back. “Just making sure your still there,” The boy says. “Yeah Sen I’m here,” the young man voice calls back.
Dawn breaks on a small camp. The slumbering forms of two people are basked in the warm glow. Its early fall, leaves are beginning to settle on the ground. There is evidence of a fire in the center of the camp. The forest around it seems forbidding and dangerous the mighty Elms, Pines, and other trees stand motionless. There is a small wind that ruffles the young man’s hair as he stirs and yawns. “Sen wakey wakey little man,” he careful prods the young boy’s sleeping form. “Wah? Huh? Its morning already?” Sen says as he raises and stretches in the sun. “Yeah Sen and we need to get on our way, they’re following us remember,” the young man says as he grabs his Buster Sword off the ground and shoulders it. “Ryon why do we have to run?” the boy asks as he pats down his brown hair and blinks his bleary hazel eyes. “We can’t fight them, not yet Sen I don’t want you to get hurt,” Ryon answers as he ties his white hair back into his ponytail and puts his hood up over his wolf ears. “Why do you were a hood?” Sen asks though he knows the answer. “So people can’t see my eyes or my ears,” Ryon says as he peeks out from under the hood with his yellow wolf eyes glowing in the sunlight. “Don’t forget your Shuriken Ryon,” Sen says as he picks up a massive throwing star and tries to walk with it. “Don’t worry Sen I got it,” Ryon grins as Sen he falls on his face. “Here little dude I got it,” Ryon effortlessly picks both Sen and his throwing star off the ground. “So where to now?” Sen asks once they are all packed up and he has gotten his daggers. “To a small village north of here there is a old friend of mine I need to see,” Ryon begens to walk through the forest as swiftly as possible. “Sen, stay behind me” Ryon looks out into the woods “theres something out there, and its not friendly.” Sen nervouly draws his daggers and stands behind Ryon. “What is it?” Sen asks when he sees a flash go by Ryon’s ear. “Sen get down they’re shooting!” was Ryon’s answer as he shoves Sen to the ground narrowly dodgeing an arrow himself. “You can’t dodge them all Ryon Talimarie!” a hellish voice screams as another volley of arrows land around Ryon and Sen. “Sen run! Its me they’re after run!” Ryon says roughly shoveing Sen to his feet and down the path. “No Ryon im not gonna run anymore,” Sen says as he slowy grows fangs and horns on his head, “im not going to abandon you!” he yells while his body grows scales. “A dragon?!” the voice in the woods scream while Sen becomes a massive blue dragon. “Sen, ok then lets get them,” Ryon says as his body begens to grow fur and a tail. Within seconds a massive blue dragon and a white wolf stand where Ryon and Sen did. “So think we can take them?” Ryon asks as he licks his fangs and readies himself to attack. “Yeah I think we can” Sen says as a large fire ball erupts and engulfs sevral of their assilants. “Orks? How odd,” Ryon says as he launches himself on one of the Orks and rips into his neck with his teeth. “Yeah figured Rygoul would send something else,” Sen comments as he devours three orks with spears. “We’re no just any orks we’re the high guard of Rygoul,” a large ork says as he walks into sight. He is atleast a head taller than the others and twice as ugly. His face was rotting off in places and you could see his skull. He wore a chain mail armor and his hair, what was left, was pitch black and covered in colugated blood. In one hand he held a spear in the other he held a large mace. “So can we fight like men or will we fight like animals?” He asks looking from Ryon to Sen clearly unafraid. “I guess we can fight like men,” Ryon calls as he slowly regains his human form and wipes the blood off his face. “I am” the ork begens to say. “I don’t care who you were,” Ryon says as he quickly kills the ork with one swing of his sword. The orks retreat as their leader falls headless to the ground and Sen becomes his human side. “Well that was amusseing” Ryon says as he throws his hood back up and walks down the road. “Ryon, don’t, don’t, don’t you feel bad about killing people?” Sen asks as he runs up behind Ryon. “of course I do but its worth it,” Ryon smiles and thinks about Tali and Blain. “Your doing this for the girls right?” Sen asks. “Yeah Sen im doing it for her,” Ryon never told Sen about Tali and Blain only that he fights for love. “Ryon will I ever get to meet them?” Sen asks hopefully, he had adopted Ryon as his brother and was hopeing they could be his sisters. “Maybe someday mate, maybe someday,” Ryon says while walking down the road and looking into the woods just in case. “Can you tell me about them?” Sen asks hopeing Ryon would answer this time. “Sure Sen, heres a good spot to stop and rest, ill tell you about her and my past little man,” he says sitting down and looking at Sen. ”Really?” Sen asks surprised and smileing. “Yeah, well as you know im from a town to the south of here called Okanwa. Its smells of sunflowers in the summer and of roses in the winter,” Ryon says as he looks towards the clouds and closes his eyes and begens his story.
“It was five years ago. There was peace in my village and everything was good.”Ryon says as he thinks back. “I was fivteen at the time so was all my friends.” Sen sits waiting for him to begen.
“Ryon?” a young girl says as she prods a young boy in the ribs with her toe. ”Whayowan?” the muffled reply comes from under the boy’s arms where his head is. The sun is out and shining its miday and spring. The boy’s white hair is in a mess and the girl’s brown hair isnt doing any better. “its time to get up Ryon,” the girl says proding Ryon again. “Iduhtwanto” is his reply as he rolls over. “Deal with it,” the girl says laughing as she jumps on him. “AH!” Ryon yelled as she landed on him scareing him. “did I scare you?” she says pokeing him in the forehead. “No you jumped on me it startled me theres a differnce,” Ryon says as he shoves her off and rolls back onto his face. “Ryon! Fine then be that way!” the girl yells as she turns her back to him and pouts knowing Ryon will get up if she does this. “Don’t even try that Tali it wont work,” Ryon says looking at her out from under his arms. “Your so mean!” she pouts trying to get to Ryon’s good nature. “Tali, you know I don’t want you to be sad, fine ill get up,” he says as he stands up and streaches and then hugs Tali. “No I don’t want to hug you,” Tali says pushing him off her. “Fine then but your stuck with me so ha,” Ryon says getting his bags togather and putting the fire out. “im not stuck with you I can leave anytime I want im older remember,” Tali brags. “Yeah but I know you wont because you’d be too worried about me and I’d be too worried about you,” he replies grinning as he hugs her again. “Your right,” She says hugging him back, she had adopted him as her brother when they were kids and they’ve been friends ever since. “Ok ready to go?” Ryon says smileing, he had adopted her as his sister but now he cared for her so much more and she knew about it. “Yeah im ready,” She said as she gathered her bags and went to pick them up. “Don’t worry bout your bags I’ll get ‘em” Ryon said as he lifted her bags onto his back smileing. “Thanks Ryon, thanks a lot,” Tali said, she had never figured out why he was so nice to her and anyother girls they had ever met. “not a problem,” Ryon says as they start off into the forest. The forest has a evil air in and around it. The trees seem to glare at you everytime your not looking. The animals are not to be triffled with. “Hey Tali, you wanna train a lil?” Ryon asks turning around and setting the bags down. “Ryon this isn’t the time to train a lil you nimrod, I guess,” Tail says laughing while she draws her katanas and flips them underarmed. “Alright then like ive said before if I hurt you tell me ok?” Ryon says as he grabs his nodachi off his back and smiles. “Ok but the same goes for you,” she calls back while she prepares for him to rush her. “Hey, well, yeah, you can hurt me I foregot how strong you are,” he smiles and then runs at her with his sword dragging the ground to his right. “Hey no fighting!” a voice yells as a gun shot is heard and Ryon’s sword is knocked to the side. “Who the heck are you?” Ryon says as he stands infront of Tali ready to give his life for her. “Ryon who is it?” Tali says sheathing her katanas and pushing Ryon aside. “Ry-Ry its just me” a large fox eared boy says stepping out of the shadow of the trees with a sword in one hand and a handgun in the other. “Deam never call me Ry-Ry” Ryon says as he walks over and picks up his sword and sets it back in its sheath. “ Why not Ry-Ry?” Tali asks smileing. “Tali you can call me Ry-Ry I don’t mind if you do” he looks at Deam “Its just creepy when he does” “Yeah bet it is” Deam says as he walks over to Ryon. Deam and Ryon are about the same height and they both tower over Tali whos chest height to them both.Tali walks over and shakes Deam’s hand “Hi im Tali Natuaz” she says smileing. “Name’s Deam Tai” Deam says smileing “so you’re the one Ryon’s been telling me about?” he smiles as he sees Ryon blush. Seeing Ryon blush Tali looks at him “What have you been telling him Ryon?”
Ryon picks up the bags and starts walking down the dirt road. “Ryon!?” Tali yells at him. “Don’t worry Tali its nothing bad” Deam smiles and walks towards Ryon “He’s just been saying how nice you are to him and stuff” “Oh, ok then” Tali says as she walks beside Deam. “Hey Ryon we need to get Avina before we go too far” Deam yells. “Who said your comeing?” Ryon yells back. “Hey you’re my pal and im not gonna leave your side ok?” Deam yells back as Tali runs up to Ryon. “Why can’t he come Ryon? His parents are dead too,” Tali says quitely to Ryon. “Because I don’t want anything to happen to him or to you so you both need to stay here” Ryon says smileing faintly. “No” that was Tali’s answer she stood in front of Ryon not moveing an inch “no,” “Tali I don’t want you to get hurt” Ryon looks at her and then gives in “Fine you can come, Deam too.” “Ok I’ll tell him” Tali says as she runs back to Deam smileing “We can come,” “You’re the only person I’ve ever met who could change Ryon’s mind just by a few words” Deam says looking at her. “You’re the only friend of Ryon’s ive ever met” She says smileing at him as they walk on. “Ryon we have to go to the village to get Avina” Deam says as Ryon walks past a small dirt path that leads to the east. “Shes not comeing” he says aws he keeps walking. “Ryon” Tali says with a serious tone in her voice. “Ok ok” Ryon turns around and starts towards the village. “Good boy” Tali says smileing as she walks up and messes with Ryon’s wolf ears.
