Chapter - 3 Discoveries
As the door groaned open a rather large man in black entered the rather small room, making it look as if a giant had entered a hobbits home. She couldn't help but whimper softly as she forced back tears, the large man walking over to the bed and speaking in a soft tone, his voice seeming unfitting for a man of such stature but it was a deep, calming voice that hummed a bit when he spoke to her, 'Come now, Little one, I will not harm you, I have come to offer you something to eat.'. Her stomach had let out a low growl at the thought of food, she slowly crawled her way out, sitting on her knees as she looked up at the him, his hair was either dark brown or black, the light made it hard to tell but his blue eyes shone even in the dim lighting which caught her attention more than anything. He was a bit older than she, as far as she could tell, by at least eight or nine years. She stood slowly, realizing that he was not much taller than she as he pointed toward the hall and spoke once more 'I have water, apple and grape juices..' his tone soothed her in an odd manner as she let her gaze drift to the door, he looked to her 'And food wise, we have bologna and cheese, ham and cheese or turkey and cheese with choices of mustard and mayonnaise'. She let out a tiny peep as her stomach began to ache from being hungry and the mention of food only made it worse as she muttered out 'Grape Juice and a Turkey Sandwich with Mayonnaise sounds good...Please..'. She tried to keep her tone steady as she spoke, trying to seem tough and grown up as she looked him in the eye, her own eyes showing obvious fear, confusion and sadness. Her turned toward the door and exiting, returning moments later with her food and some of his own, he handed her the sandwich which was wrapped in plastic wrap and the juice which was in a small carton, almost like the ones at her school. He sat down and began to eat what she saw as ham and cheese with mustard and sipping on apple juice. She sat a little ways from him, slowly and being unsure she hesitantly unwrapped the sandwich and took a small bite and before she knew it she had drank all her juice and eaten the whole sandwich. Her simply chuckled at her and spoke, the combination of food and his soothing tone of voice almost lulling her into a state of sleep 'You were my last stop for delivering food, little one. What is your name?' . His tone seemed almost caring in nature as she looked away a bit, almost forgetting where she was and what was happening, 'My name is Luna..', She said softly as her gaze then met his, he moving a bit closer to her and extending a hand, 'The names Aurious..'. She tilted her head slightly to the side as she grabbed his hand gently and shook it, he pulling her hand near to his mouth and giving it a soft kiss, 'A pleasure, dear.', He said before releasing her hand, her cheek painted with a soft pink blush of embarrassment. As he got up, as did she, he offering his hand 'Would you like to go outside with me? but...' the expression on his face changed, almost as if he were worried now. 'You must stay close to me and don't try to run away..The doctor will be very upset and might hurt you if you run..And I don't exactly trust everyone here.'. She hesitated a moment before taking his hand with a nod and they started for the large metal door to her room, it seeming to growl as it slowly shut behind them and they made the walk down a long, dimly lite hall, large double doors at either end, they made their way right, it had been about three or four days since she had gotten there and for the first time since then she was out of her room and soon they would be outside.
