::SATURDAY:: "Stranded"
Today I met up with Gabriel. We had made plans to visit CHANG in Barrie today. She told us to go to Yorkmills station to catch the GO bus. What she didn't know, was that the buses from Yorkmills don't go to Barrie on weekends. So after all that travelling [all 15 minutes of it XD] we had to go to Finch station [10 minutes away]. We were on time for the bus, but found that we'd have to transfer in Newmarket. There, we had an hour and a half wait until our next bus arrived. To pass the time, Gabe and I went to the mall. I bought myself a dog tag and am planning on getting it engraved. XD It took us about 3 hours in total to finally make it to Chang. She met us at the bus terminal at 3pm and so began our "fun." We went to the mall, arcade, and pretty much just wandered around the "downtown" part of Barrie. Chang didn't punch me as much as I expected she would, and she didn't even try setting my hair on fire. She was actually...happy. Gabe thinks it's because she finally got to see me. XP Anyhow, we spent a good 3 hours with Chang, and decided to start heading back to the terminal. The next bus left at 6:25pm, but Chang, stubborn as she is, wouldn't let us leave. We agreed to catch the next bus, and stay a little longer. While eating at Burger King, [yuck, meat. DX] Gabriel started getting uneasy, blah blah blah... Anyhow, turns out 6:25 was the last bus to Toronto and the only way we could get home was to pay another $18 for a different bus. [neither of us had money XD] Chang was starting to panic. Her dad isn't the best person to be around, and she sure didn't want to ask him if we could stay over. [it was okay for me, but Gabriel was a different story. Her dad is traditional Chinese and doesn't allow boys in the house] I had already lied to my grandma, telling her I was at a friend's house watching anime. She had no idea I was in Barrie, so I couldn't just call, explain, and ask to sleep over. Now, we were all pretty stressed. Gabe was on the verge of tears, I had a bad case of nervous laughter, and Chang was trying to figure out what to tell her dad. I got an idea, and called Lucia. [<3] *skips the phone call* I asked her to ask her dad to call my grandma to make an excuse for me. [pretty much tell her I was staying over at Lucia's] Her dad refused to lie to my grandma, and instead, offered to come pick us up. From that day on, Lucia has been known as my hero. <3 Guess which one is Chang!! *dancedance* XD~!!!
::SUNDAY:: "CN Tower"
Ugh, today was brutal. 1,776 stairs aren't fun. I got really sick after the CN Towner stair climb. It was all for chairty though [homeless, starving, abused women and children facing poverty], which made it worth doing. I'm actually pretty proud of myself for once, even if I am considered a nerd for doing things girls my age wouldn't think of. As long as it's for a good cause, I have no problem doing it. ^_^ Afterwards, we treated ourselves to sushi. What a great way to end the weekend.
