Moments that leave you feeling fuzzy
Not romantic. Just warm and tingly.
Like somebody scribbling or doodling on your notebook. Running fingers through your hair or styling them. Doing your makeup.
It was pouring outside and there were little to no customers at the optician's. It was quiet and I was waiting for the young man to finish writing my parents' receipts. The elderly gentleman behind the counter pointed to my spectacles, gesturing to hand them over. After inspecting them in the light, he took them to the the back, where his tools rested on the table. I wasn't sure what he was doing, but he was silently working on them, taking out items from the cupboard, using tools before him. It was a cosy and quiet atmosphere, and the rain only added to the warm experience. It was a fuzzy feeling, even now as I reminisce, of having someone care for an item of yours. He'd changed the nose-pads. They need changing after some time, and mine did.
Makes me think of the little moments that leave you tender and happy.
