don't get any big ideas, they're not going to happen...A few days ago, I decided that I needed to find some more active guilds, because... well... it's nice to talk to people with similar interests, right? So I go and find myself a nice looking lolgawf guild. Things look somewhat promising... I mean, I don't want to go ballistic and break things after the first day or so, so I was pretty thankful.
Now, there was a thread of "bands you may never have heard of before". It gave a rather nice list of classics and contemporary favourites. As happy as I was with the poster's choices, all I could say was something to the effect of: "If you've never heard of these, gtfo nao."
I expected some s**t for a remark that reeked of elitism, but what I got instead was a nice, shiny turd from a kid trying to sound like he knew his s**t. Says he: "You'd be surprised. Some people haven't even heard of Marilyn Manson and the Scary Kids."
...ok, screw the rant about shock rock being what was vommed when old schoolers were raped up the a** by teenage mallgoths. I was too shocked by the fact that the lifeblood of 90s mallgoths is raped in the a** that badly. I never thought I'd see the day when those bats would get their due.
Scary Kids, for Christ's sake! You have the ******** internet, and you can't even use wikipedia to see that it was Spooky Kids?
