FIFA World Cup!!!
I've been following the WC like an obsession (which some people tell me it is), and as much as I hate to say it, I knew that the US was going to lose in the match today. I mean, I love my country and all, but I was born in Britain. I can't help but root against the US in athletic competitions because the egos on the athletes and sports commentators have are just so annoying! And technically being British and as far as I can tell, people who were from Britain initially always root for the British teams/players anyways, I want England to make it to the finals, and I think we have a shot (but I do have a bias). But, Brazil is, as always, a kick-a** team, and so is Spain, Argentina (who, it has been said, is a team that the Brazilians consider competition), Germany, Portugal, Korea, and Switzerland are the other teams that I am going to love watching because they are so good! I mean, the next matches are going to be so exciting to watch (I hope) because these are all the decent teams now. It's going to be almost evenly matched and the teams that can play strategically and aggressively are going to make it. I am not going to miss a single game from now on ('cause I'm going to make sure that I wake up early enough to watch the games). Yeah, heh, so I am a bit passionate about this sport, but can you blame me?
