Black History Month

Yah, so in 7th grade, during Feb, students asked my teacher was he celebrating Black History Month. He said no, because it's racist."There isn't any other month for any other race" I agreed. There isn't. I also want to rant about some other things about it too.

It's unescessary(did i spell that right?), right? I mean, for example, George Washington Carver. Guy who made all the peanut oils. He would be celebrated during Black History Month. But you shouldn't praise him because he is BLACK and he did all that stuff. You should just because he had invented that. I'm not proud to be black. No. Why should I be? Not that black people are horrible or whatever. I'm not "proud" to be a girl,either. Me being a girl or being black or whatever shouldn't have to do anything with my accomplishments.so, people should get recognition not because they were (insert race) and this (this or that) but just because they DID (this or that). Anyway, that's just what i was thinking today.
