Chapter 2- An Explosive Discovery Xin was in his alchemist lab when his sisters came calling him. ''Xin, we have something for you!'', Lilith said. ''Something special.'' Marice's voice followed, echoing down the dark stairwell to him. ''Hang on a second!'' Xin yelled back up. His eyes darted around the dark room, finally coming to a rest on the servant in the corner. ''You there, what is your name?'' ''Faulkner, my Prince.'' he said in a trembly voice. The man looked in bad shape, his ribs showing beneath his thin shirt. ''Stir this concoction for me'' Xin said, ''And in 3 minutes add 3 cubes of nightshade'' he added, sitting the jar filled with it on the desk next to the couldron. ''Yes, my Prince'' the servant replied wearily. Pulling back his brass and diamond alchemist goggles to his forehead on the way, he ran upstairs. Upon reaching the well lit midroom he saw his sisters holding a large object under a velvet blanket. ''Remember that you said you always wanted an enchanted weapo0n bonded to your soul?'' Lilith said, a little too cheery as always. ''Yes?'' Xin said, although with a little doubt. Soul bonded weapons have been known to kill their owners by drawing too much Soul Energy and imploding both blade and wielder, if made improperly. ''Its name is Onslaught, and it was created by the best blacksmith in the Kingdom'' Marice said, interrupting his thoughts. ''And that's not all. We had Paymon enchant it as well.'' Lilith added. Xin thought about this. Not only is Paymon a close friend, but he also takes great pride in his work. He would not allow a flawed workpiece out. '' Can I see it, or is this tease me for later?'' Xin asked. In responce, Marice yanked off the blanket. What Xin saw was his perfect weapon. It was elegant, yet imposing. It had a Bloodleather handle, a 4 foot long darksteel blade, and the edge was daimond laced obsidian. "Its the most magnificent weapon ever forged!" he exclaimed. He grabbed the sword by the hilt, and all of a sudden he simultaniously felt a stabbing pain in his palm and new, raw power in his viens. He looked, and there was a soul bond metal spike extending from the handle just where his palm was. His joy at this power ended when he heard a loud blasting noise coming from his lab. "Oh, Gods damn it all!" he yelled, running back downstairs, followed by his sisters. As he drew closer to the bottom, he smelled burned meat. When they got there, they found a black smoking crater in the floor and what looked like lumps of cooked flesh everywhere else. "What in Jawir's name were you doing down here!?" Lilith shrieked. "Experimenting. Apparently, my servant did something wrong." Xin answered calmly, hiding his emotion of guilt beneath a cold facade. "I will send for another servant" Marice said. "Just do one thing for me" He said, stopping her. "What?" Marice asked. "Make sure the new servant brings a mop."

Chapter 1- Prologue
Once, in a time before human reckoning, there existed a land by the name of Derija. In this land a multittude of strange creatures lived, the minority of which being humans. But this story circulates around a far more spectacular race, the Dark Elves. The Dark Elves have a long and proud history, full of war and revolutionary events. However, no war or any other event quite so bloodstained or important than those surrounding a Dark Elf Prince named Xin Bolas and his siblings, who were Marice and Lilith Bolas. There was, however, another sibling. A Verrow by the name of Luna Blackfall, whom was born to Dark Elf King Juane Bolas after being seduced and mated (in a hypnotic state) to a vampire named Verlace Blackfall. This happened while he was away from his wife Nicol and children on a long trip. After Luna was born, Juane escaped and ran back to Elysium (the Dark Elf capitol) with her in his grey skinned arms. Zin was born 10 mortal years before this, and Marice 60 years before. 50 years later, when Xin was 6 (dark elf) years old, Lilith was born to Juane and Nicol in the middle of a particularly cold winter. In the same year, Xin overheard his father speaking to his grandparents, the Ancients, about him and his siblings. Curious, he continued listening. The Ancients had recieved a sign from the Gods, saying that they were eventually destined to do great or terrible things. Dark Elves are naturally very intelligent, and Xin especially so. He knew spreading the news had a possibility of nullifying the prophecy, so he kept his silence, training and waiting for when the time would come to fulfill the prophecy. He waited 150 long years for the time to come, and that time is now.
Note to Readers- Dark elves only age 1 year every 10 years, and I will from here on out use Dark elf years, unless I am talking about a different creature.
