I can’t get you out of my head
How many years has it been?
How many more will it be?
You were never mine.
A fleeting kiss is all we'll be
But in my mind we’ve been so much more.
In my mind
We’ve gone on adventures far and wide.
We’ve found treasures out of nothing.
In my mind
You’re still here, doing your best.
And I’m there, cheering you on.
But then reality sets in.
And you’re there, living your life.
And I’m here, daydreaming.
Daydreaming of what we could have been.
Filling my head with a fantasy
Of memories that would never be
The years keep on ticking.
And I still can’t get you out of my head.
