Dashing small clearings in between each tall grand oak tree, I ran alone. I wanted to be alone. The rain fell heavy; showing no mercy whatsoever. But my vision, I laugh at anything mediocre that tries to obscure it. I brushed past tearing limbs of the outreaching branches with no effort. I smirked as I thought of how many humans would think this impossible, how many thought I wasn’t real, that people of my kind didn’t exist.
They were wrong. I saw my breath billowing out of my mouth in wispy, pale white smoke and I sighed heavily and stopped at an open clearing. I was hungry. I closed my eyes and waited. I winced slightly as the sense of the Hunter took over me. I opened my eyes. To any human, my eyes would be crimson, but beautiful…I’d lure them in.
A flash of red struck over me. I can’t remember the rest.
